eQuinelle Golf Club

We were very excited to play Equinelle. When we arrived , we noticed that before our start time , the 4 spots were empty. We asked if we could play the 2 of us together at that time since there was nobody booked. He said that it wasn't really possible.The new start time was like in 10 minutes. As we are preparing to tee off , he says we have to be paired up with someone that just booked. What are the odds , eh ? They were 3, 1 guy and his g/f in a cart and the other one walking. The g/f wasn't going play they said. Still 5 is too big of a party for me , so we declined and they teed off before us. Playing with someone who is walking when we all have cart , doesn't make sense. Anyhow , again he decided to pair us up with 2 guys and we said yes because we were already annoyed. So in the last 5 starts since we were there , 3 of them were 2 . Wasn't impress with his excuses. My friend was really unhappy to see a 2some behind us and a twosome in front of us. We would have prefer to hear the truth than lies , when we see 3 groups of 2 in the last 5 starts and we are the only one who asked for it and he made sure we didn't get it.

I love this course and it was a great day for golf. Great test for both the recreational golfer as well as the competitive golfer.

I did not like the fact that no one said anything about the greens being punched. Definitely sucked, and shouldn't be something we find out about on the first green.

Clients should be advised by Golfnow as to course conditions Greens and Fairways had been punched 2 days before our tee time. Had we have known we would have played a different course and gone to Equinelle at another time

Friendly staff, nice open layout . Distances are a little deceiving . I just wish people would repair their divots but I am guessing that came from a tournament or two . Once the clubhouse is finished, this will be a top notch course .

As my title suggests, it's a must play. If you are not inclined to pay full price, check out the many websites that may give you a deal. Golf now.com did offer me a very good deal. Know that when you arrive that the permanent clubhouse is not completed. Do NOT let that deter you from playing this course. The course is fully outfitted to accommodate your requirements for an enjoyable day of golf. The staff is courteous and professional in their duties. As for the course itself, do not be fooled by the yardages for each hole, they are challenging from either tee blocks you may choose to play from. The course is walkable but do know that there is some distances between some greens to the next tee block. As a golfer over 50, riding was the way to go for me so I would not 'run out of gas' after 14 holes. If you are not familiar with the course, a Garmin or range finder would be most beneficial. The greens and bunkers are consistent so a hearty thank you to the grounds crew. as for my individual ratings: Value For The Money = if you don't find a deal somewhere, it can be expensive. - Quality Of Food & Beverage = as the clubhouse is not finished, the staff work out of a trailer (which of course affected this rating) - Conditions Of Overall Facilities = I played on a very wet/rainy day so of course I found a lot of standing water so it did affect my round. I would have rather played my round during optimal condition (can't control Mother Nature). Will I go back: most certainly (if I find a deal online). So when you think "is this course worth the trip? The answer: a resounding YES!!! I am positive that when the clubhouse is completed; that component will complete the 'outstanding rating" it will so deserve.

Construction of a clubhouse is underway which made it noisy. Very warm and cart person was not around. Other than that it was good.

Great course, great Service. Hot day, cart girl handed out cold wet face towels to the golfers! Greens are lightning fast. Only minor blemish is a lot of ballmarks on the greens. Course gets a lot of play and recent tournaments are the cause. Clubhouse construction going on but doesn't affect the course enjoyment. Highly recommended. One of the top 3 public courses in Ottawa.

I liked the course layout and the greens and fairways were in great shape.
A bit of course knowledge will go a long way in helping you challenge the risk/reward holes.

Overall a very enjoyable round.

My thoughts are this course is one of the best courses in the area if not the best - the course is excellent in all facets and a special treat to play!

Played this course for the first time and was very impressed with the layout and condition of the course. Will play this. Ohrse again....ron

I hadn't played eQuinelle in two years after discovering it one Fall a couple years back and falling in love with the course and all the beautiful autumn colours. It's in even better shape now and the clubhouse is almost done and looking fantastic. I've never thought about being a member somewhere but eQuinelle is one that I'd consider for sure.

Marshalls were friendly but always there to be sure the pace of play was kept up. The bunkers are works of art, but nasty if you find yourself in one. The fairways were in great shape as were the greens. Very satisfied, even though the weather was poor...

Course is well designed. Very forgiving for not your everyday golfers with wide fairways, that are like hitting off plush velvet carpet. Well protected with beautiful deep sanded bunkers. Lots of trouble on course but it doesn't come looking for you. You have to find it. Great overall experience that will be even better when monster club house is open.

This is a course where you have to be accurate given the abundance of bunkers and the intimidating water hazards. Long and straight shooters will do well. For others, beware. The large impeccable fairways are quite receptive and the fast multilevel greens test your putting. The greenery is spectacular.

Second time playing this course, very hot and windy today. Course was in excellent condition, greens running fast and true. Best course in eastern Ontario for the money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Could believe that I was charged $18.33 by golfnow to book a 3some.

this the 5 time i played Equinelle in the past 2 year at different day and time and not once we tee off on time . It took us 2 hour and 30 minute for 9 hole . Love the course but i will not go back

Right from arrival the course and staff were exceptional. Friendly staff, was able to get off early and played with a very friendly 3-some of friends.

Course was in perfect condition. Greens and fairways played consistent. Staff was great when our cart broke down. Too pricey when it's regular peiced but with a smokin' deal with GolfNow it was a tremendous experience!
