Mountain Branch
Fun layout and an excellent condition despite heavy rain the day before. Clubhouse is great with fine dining as well as a casual bar/grill.
My only complaint is the driving range leaves much to be desired.
Fall Review
Great course! The layout is top tier. The scenery and Fall leave change was stunning, and made it even better to play. Down fall was had to return carts by 630. Could finish the full course. Minus that, one my new favorite course. Will be back to play the whole thing.
Conditions declining.
It’s been a really nice course for years. Now the course may be sold and they have let some areas decline like many of the tee boxes. Overall still nice. Fairways and greens are good. Not what they once were.
Nice, but slow due to CPO and wetness.
Is this course every NOT cart path only? I definitely needed to be this time, but if I could go back I would have played somewhere else. Some holes were so wet they were almost unplayable. An older guy in our group fell on his back b/c the fairway was so wet. I really like this course and I would love to play it when it's dry sometime. CPO made the pace very slow. But drainage on some holes is a problem. I would avoid if it has been rainy in recent days.
Great layout
5:15 minute round. Waiting what feels like an eternity on EVERY shot is excruciating. Greens were decent, a bit slow and grainy, but it was later in the day. Besides the extremely slow play,,the bunkers were for the most part, horrible. So dense that your club bounced off of the sand. I expected better from this course.,
Nice Course!
We played in 100° heat... On a holiday Friday pace of play was great. Group led us play through. Finished in 3 and 1/2 hours, condition of course was great, especially considering all the heat we've had, they were continually watering fairways. Staff was friendly, they provided ice for the cards. Great value considering my golf pass membership discount.
Wet But Worth It!
The course was playing extra long with the wet conditions, and of course, some of the cartpath only holes are tough, but Mountain Branch never disappoints. It was in excellent shape and we pretty much had the course of ourselves because it was raining off and on for the whole round.
Mountain Branch
For early spring outstanding shape . Greens may need a few more weeks to be outstanding.
Greens are always true and as a public golfer that’s really all you need
