Worth the drive from DFW

Great course! Great condition! Some of the bunkers were a little washed out and needed sand but overall a great course. Worth the 2 hours drive.

Tempest is Back

Third time playing and it was in the best shape I’ve ever seen it in last 1.5 years. They have poured a ton of resources into getting the fairways back and it’s evident. The greens are PGA level. I will be back soon.

Tempest revisited

Last time I wrote a review for Tempest, the course was in horrible shape. Several holes had no fairway grass. Happy to say things are much improved. still some rough areas, I believe a lot has to do with the terrain, quite hilly course for E Texas. Practice areas are outstanding. Restaurant is also quite nice. Definitely the nicest public course around

Only problem was pace of play.

Pace of play was slow. We got paired up with two other golfers. Luckily they were a good time. It took us 5 hours to play 18 holes. There were two groups in front of us and they pretty much set the pace. There were a ton of Marshalls on the course but the pace was never changed you just felt like you were being watched.

Still waiting on Golf Now reimbursement

I was charged $404 for an 18 hole round for 4 players on Sunday 5-3-26, but had to reschedule to earlier in the day. Our initial tee time was 1:50P (for 4) but I rescheduled to 7:50A for 2 players several days in advance. When will I be reimbursed for rescheduling our tee time.

Not very happy with being credited instead of refunded.

Will never use the app again.

Although we will likely be at tempest course again as it's a great course!

Chris, Please reach out to Golfnow as they did the charge. I have checked what you were charged by Tempest and it was only for the two rounds at 7:50. Sorry about that. If you cant get resolved please reach out.

Course is is great condition, and grass is lush and green. Lately have seen attention to details. Wish people would fix their own divots though. Staff are always helpful with customers.
