Great course. Will be beautiful when grass gets growing!!!

Great developing course. New and in developing into a premier course.

This is a new course opening in Aug 2018. The layout is great but the course is still trying to grow into a full ready to play state. The one critique for now is the old cup locations on most greens are not plugged well at all. Every one was sunk below grade. That needs fixing immediately. By late summer 2019 this course should be moving toward excellence. My group will be back for sure. Pro club and grill staff were customer friendly making us feel welcome. Bottom line this course has solid infrastructure to become a high class layout.

The major renovations are off the chart. I was a member here years ago and with the renovation, I didn’t recognize this course. What a great experience! Definitely the best course in East Texas for sure.

The course is great. Solid layout, excellent routing and challenging where it needs to be. The course will be in great shape come Spring once the grass has finally grown in.

My only qualms stem from the fact that the course does not honor GolfNow pricing. It was booked for $47 a player on golfnow but the course charged $55 per player in the shop even after I pushed back on the GolfNow listed price. In addition, the pro shop informed me that they charge a convenience fee of their own for golfnow reservations in addition to the fee that GolfNow has built into their model.

The course also enters everyone (for a fee) into their hole-in-one contest and will not allow you to opt out as it is “built into the price of the green fee.” This all took place after the fact that the pro shop didn’t open until 20 minutes AFTER my tee time had already passed. These separate fees were not listed on the online reservation and this lack of integrity is 100% on Tempest and not GolfNow.

This is a horrid business model and the course refuses to honor their published pricing commitments. It left a really bad taste in my mouth and I would definitely recommend Pine Dunes in Frankston over this course because it is simply better and they don’t treat their customers as poorly as Tempest.

This course is NOT run like the other Jeff Brauer designs (Cowboys, Biwabik, etc.) where the customer always comes first and they receive a first class experience. Buyer beware.

Played on 12/15/2018, the course is good shape considering the cold and wet weather we’ve had recently. One of the best public courses in East Texas.

This is the new gem in East Texas. A must play for any golfer. The course has a wonderful layout and is very challenging. The views are incredible. They have done an excellent job reconstructing this course. Can't wait to get back out there.

It really pretty tough play golf course wow. It impresses game. We are sure come play golf often.

Beautiful setting and great course layout. Multiple 2 and 2 tiered greens require premium shot placement. Some tee shots require layup and many tee shots you can bomb away. Course need a good three or four months of warm growing season for the grass to thicken and fill in patchy areas. I live in Dallas area and I highly recemend a visit to Tempest Golf Club.

Played this new course for first time. It still has some growing to do but it’s as good as advertised!! Can’t wait to play it again. By this time next year, no course in Texas will be better. Staff is great. No driving range yet or putting greens but they are under construction. They are doing this one right!
