Very Nice Course
This was my second time to play the course. We completed 18 holes in 3:50. We started are round right on time. The greens were in good shape. The only issue i had was with the sand traps. I was in too many. The traps could use a little sand. The pro shop staff was fantastic. The 18th green had some burn marks. One member of my group belongs to a Montgomery County country club. He was impressed with the greens. We will be returning to play here soon.
Actually didn’t play
After booking a hot play rate at what was a very convenient time for me, I arrived only to be told the the back nine was closed for aeration and I would have to play the front twice on just aerated greens. As I was using this as a final practice before a golf trip I had no desire to go through that experience. The person at the desk was gracious about cancelling but there was no mention on the website particularly in “upcoming events” about this situation
Now I still have to try to get a refund from GolfNow which seems to be impossible online. Lesson learned - never prepay for rounds!
Hidden gem
Areas of the course such as cart paths and bunkers were a little rough around the edges. However, the layout makes up for this. Each hole is virtually self contained and the design forces you to really think about your approach shots. Last, but certainly not least, the greens were the best public course greens I’ve played in years. Fast as lightning and lots of breaks. The only major downside was that it took over 4.5 hours to play, which I would generally expect on a Saturday but not when I’m teeing off a little before 9:00.
Slicky Greens
The greens are very fast and slicky. That is Ed Coyle’s sigbature for fast greens as same as Worthington Manor.
Overall, the course conditions have improved lately.
Not a bad course
Decent course wouldn't recommend or recommend, fairways were nice, traps were not groomed, cart path was horrible, greens were good, boxes were hit or miss depe do on the hole. If it were closer I might go back but for the distance (45 minutes) there are better courses at the same basic price point.
So if its close its good but I wouldn't drive much for it.
Very nice day if golf
Saturday but pace wax good....greens were in beautiful shape
Tough Greens
Courses in great shape greens are very difficult always but in good shape.
played holes 1-9 twice
got a good deal since they were aerating the back 9 holes. played the front nine twice. hole 9 is very challenging.
Had to play back9 twice
I decided to come here for my birthday. And once I get there and finally pay, then they tell us the front 9 is closed, which is the better 9, and that we have to play the back 9 twice, which creates a backed up big problem on that course. And very, very slow and had I known, I wouldn't have gone there because the back 9 is nowhere near as nice as the front 9. So if you're planning a trip here, make sure that they have front and back open because you don't want to play the back nine twice
Needs a few improvements
1) Bugs on course every time your cart stopped moving were in your face and made entire day not enjoyable
2) Cart paths were in need of A LOT of repair as I had read in previous reviews. Have to drive very slow.
3) Clubhouse staff average friendliness
4) No drinking water on course
5) Not 1 potty anywhere out on course
6) No sand in 90 pct of sand traps. Didn’t particularly care. Cosmetic. Just cheapens look of course which is a nice layout.
7) No ballwashers
I would not go back to this course with these conditions. Would not recommend.
