Maryland National Golf Club

Everything about the day and this course exceeded my expectations. I saw the ratings on here and they surpassed them. The gentlemen in the pro shop was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The course conditions were just about perfect. The design was very cool. I liked the elevation change and the wide fairways made it very playable. The greens were in great condition but a little on the slow side. Overall, 5 stars across the board. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

A constant repeat. Our foursome has played Maryland National 6 out of the last 8 Father's Day. We simply love the course and the staff. We'll keep coming back!

The course was in Excellent shape, the staff friendly, and the pace was awesome. I played in 3.5 hours.

Course was a lot of fun and awesome layout. Would 100% recommend to a friend and hope to be back soon!

I’ve played this course many times before but I can’t remember it being in such great shape. There are about six very creative holes that ensure a memorable round. The course reflects the rolling hills and has a

mild mountain course vibe. I’m 67 and a 14 handicap I played from the senior tees which I suggest for

the first time here.

Try to play Maryland National a couple times a year. Course is always in great shape. Nice that they still include free range balls — kudos!

The staff was great and let me play as a single. I finished the round in just over 3 hours as I passed two foursomes who stopped for food. Great course!

Maryland National used to be one of my favorite courses. I even held my 50th bday party there and we had a wonderful time. However, on my last round there, the staff charged us $20 for riding single on the golf cart. We had a 2 person reservation and a single reservation bc my friend decided to join us after we had already made the reservation. There was a fourth person playing with us who was not with our group and my friend felt uncomfortable bc he was a man. Dhe wanted to ride ny herself. When we asked why we were being charged $20 and not the man, they answered bc he arrived at the course first. It doesn’t matter whether he arrived first or not the $20 should have been split and paid $10 each by each single riding golfer. And they never used to charge extra for riding single before and all of a sudden bc they are busy, they start charging. This was definitely a discrimination on the part of the golf course. That does not mean that I will never go back but the attitude of the cashier really irked me. He actually thanked me when I complained. I wanted to speak my mind and let the course know that I was not happy. . I thought about calling the management and complain but I didn’t want someone to lose their job bc of my complaints.

I live 1.5 hrs away but this course was a halfway point for my brother and I. We’re both military and chose it because of the great discount. Overall conditions were good, but the greens were a little rough, unpredictable and very fast. Good carts. We’ll definitely be back to play; well worth the trip.
