Great course just 50 minutes from DC
Maryland National is a gem. The layout (we played from the Gold Tees) requires one to hit every club in the bag. The fairways, bunkers and greens were in very good shape. The Par 3s are challenging and exceptional. There are many other memorable holes. The only slight let down is the final hole - it is the only tricked up hole (in our opinion) and it really requires accurate course knowledge to play it without getting frustrated - probably would be fine as Number 12 or 14 etc, but it doesn’t finish the round with a wow.
We will absolutely return and the food and service at the “19th hole” was terrific.

Very interesting layout
Overall course was very nice. Wish they’d had let us know up front that the greens were recently areated. Along with some other parts of the course but overall not too bad
Course in very good condition. Aeration completed and grounds crew was awesome in clearing ssnd off greens. Weather may have factored into low attendance and played by ourselves. Maryland National is a beautiful course and interesting to play. Highly recommend. GPS carts are a plus.
Very nice course.
The course is in great shape. It has generous fairways and very playable rough, challenging par 3's. Some nice elevation changes and nice variety of hole designs.
Worth the money
This is not one of the cheapest courses, but if you want cheap golf play elsewhere!. This is a gem in the region. Lots more of beautiful holes, great challenges, and elevation changes. Only my second time here, but I will be back again soon.
Good Layout, not for walkin
Def. Take a cart at this course. Fast Greens. great layout.. conditions were great. fair greens. Only thing they need to work on is getting rid of the "cicada killers" on the practice range
Great experience
Great course, a shot makers type of course. Only thing complaint is number 1 hole and number 5 hole canbe an issue if you’re on the fairway of either hole and other hole is teeing off.
