Golfer Reviews
Sunny day
Love the course but for the first time I felt like the fairways were cut narrower and the rough was allowed to stick out wider but the biggest issue was very long rough. I had a hard time finding any ball hit onto the rough even if I followed it in. I have never played a course with such overgrown thick rough in the last 40 years! Hope this isn’t how it will stay
Surprisingly good County Rec Course
I really enjoyed playing this course. With extreme heat temps anticipated, we were able to get a 6:50 tee time for a foursome. Driving range opened at 6:30 and we were off hole 1 on time, finishing at 11:08. Varied course layout kept the game interesting. I would definitely play there again. Great value for the $$.
Great course but pace of play is hilorrible
Great course, layout and conditions with the exception of a couple tee boxes. Love playing here and price is fair. My only complaint, and it’s the same every time, which is why I don’t play here more, is pace of play. It’s always slow, this time being the worse I’ve seen it. Showing up to a hole and being group number three to tee off is insane. 5-6 hour rounds are rough.
Decent at hot deal prices
Paid about $50 per person on a hot deal. Rough is really hard to hit out of, tee boxes were spotty and hard to find a good place to tee up/stand, greens were insanely slow. The green speed across the course was consistent at least so you knew what you were getting hole to hole. I’m assuming there was an outing. Took us, a threesome, about 5 hours and 20 minutes to play 18. Normally not a big deal but the group in front of us was hitting 2 balls each and taking their sweet time trying to find their balls since they hit a lot of out of bounds. We invited the group behind us, a two some, to play with us. The ranger made a point to come out to tell us it wasn’t ok to have 5 in a group but he had no want to say anything to the group in front of us playing 2 balls each as a 4 some. We only invited the 2 behind us to play because them (and the group behind them) were all at the tee box at the same time as us waiting for us to tee off as we waited for the other group to get up the fairway with all 8 balls. Overall condition wasn’t terrible. I wouldn’t pay more than $50 to play here. The fact that’s a hot deal and normal course price is $90+ on the weekends is insane.
first time playing at clustered spires.
Overall course is beautiful. greens were well kept. normal weight time for teeing off. there was a group behind us and in front of us. But we got done in 4 hours. regular time allotted for 4 with 18 holes. I liked that there was a ball washer and a trash can at every tee.
Perfect Day
Had a perfect day to be on the course. The course was in great condition. They have very nice facilities and the staff was very cordial.
Great course but the rough
Excellent condition gerens and fairways. Rough for us hackers is really too thick. It's a municipal course. Not the US Open. Lost two balls in the rough just a few yards off the fairway.. Makes playing less fun
All the guys in our foursome felt the same
back nine greens is great condition, front had some bare spots. Tee boxes grass was a bit long. Over real good course
Keep it straight
Looong deep rough on our round.
Many Balls off the fairway weren’t found.
Groups around us encountered similar circumstances. Makes for a frustrating round.
Rangers should be able to fill a bucket 🪣 today.
Clustered Spires Review
This course is currently in great shape. Greens were of average speed-to my liking as I am NOT a good putter.
