Glade Valley Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Golfer Reviews
Great course. Great value.
Grass in in great shape. Most bunkers are very good. A few tee boxes need help. Most greens are excellent but a few folks don’t fix their ball marks.
Just so slow and made for an unenjoyable round
Course okay. Greens were very slow compared to other times they played there. They held fine but just so slow.. I always like the course but it just took over 5 hours to play and probably 2 hours 45 min to play back nine. This was a Friday afternoon we started at 12:40. We come off 9 and go grab a water and Gatorade which takes 2 minutes and we go to 10th tee and there is a twosome on the tee waiting that we haven’t seen all day. They said they went in and had lunch and like to relax. We like you cannot just go have lunch for an hour and go back out and play back nine. It just made for an un enjoyable day . Not sure I will be coming back this year anyway.
Good condition/service and views
I like courses that aren’t squeezed into housing developments. Fairly flat and comfortably wide fairways. Greens are a little slow but healthy and true. Would definitely play here again.
Great value
GV is well conditioned and very affordable. I only play during the week and pace is always good. The grass grows well and the rough can be thick and a challenge. A couple of the greens are a bit bumpy from slackers that don’t fix their ball marks.
evenly matched
Got paired up with another 2 guys for tee off. Hit from same tees.. Not a bad round. Need more ball washing stations.. or mount one to each cart... No brown patches on the course.. nice and green. there were 2 holes that work was being done on though. Luckily I didn't hit there.. lol
