An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Winter Round
Staff was helpful. Range balls are included so be sure to get there with time to hit the range for warmup. Greens were in good shape, although a lot of the pin selections were boarderline crazy. They all seemed to be one pace on the green, I don't know if they're trying to limit green wear/tear during the winter, but it that's your concern you should have two cups cut in the green and have each group swith the pin. A couple of the tee boxes were closed, but since it's a winter round we were chosing whichever tee box we wanted not a big deal. Course is a great layout, so if you can find a deal, def worth getting out to play. Only other drawback was that it took about 4:45 to play. And seems like cartpath only may be their policy throughout the winter.
Nice course
We really liked this course, though we played on December 30 in 60-degree weather. A lot of the tall grass was low and the course probably plays more difficult in the summer. Didn't appreciate the cart path-only rule; with a 1:00 tee time, we only got in 15 holes before dark. There was some slow play at times, including us. But the cart path rue definitely slowed things down.
Great day at Whiskey Creek
thanks to Tee Off we got an amazing rate at Whiskey Creek. The temps were about 40 but we had FULL SUN and NO winds so we had a super day. The course was just about empty too so we never felt rushed. what a great way to end the year.
Top dressed greens
Apparently the course chose to top dress their greens with lots of sand on a wet day. Putting was absolutely worthless on the greens as the ball gathered up sand like a rolling snowball. Course never posted anything on their website to let the public know so I could have made a different choice. Pretty bad for a course that costs $80. Went inside to complain but was not given a refund or a discounted round.
Sandy bumby greens
Cart path only. Sand filled greens. Most muni courses in the area the greens are smoother and quicker.Wont play until late spring. Very disappointed 👎
Late Season Round
Course was pretty beat up and seemed like it wasn't consistently maintained.
Fall Round at WC
Fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, and greens were inconsistent and many golfers do not rake bunkers or fix ball marks.
Simply perfect
One of my favorite courses in Maryland. Highly recommend it.
No need for Whiskey Glasses!
This place is maintained like an immaculate country club with public access. My first time playing the course as it was recommended by nearly everyone I’ve golfed with in the DMV. Conditioning was superb, only knock is people didn’t fix ball marks. Greens, tees, fairways and bunkers all in great shape. Place is extremely hilly and green complexes are severe so bring your A game. I’ll be back as I totally enjoyed the golf and the staff at Whiskey Creek.
Great course
Tee to green in great condition. Pace was about 4.5 hours for 18 .
20 yrs+ & still going strong !
I’ve put up several reviews this year and this is just another addition .. nothing new here, all I could say is the course is always in Top Notch Condition ! I’ve complained about their greens being bumpy & slow but they have corrected that as well .. please keep up the good work!
Super Clean, Super Friendly
The course was in mint condition with only exception was the greens…but that was Maintance a few weeks ago. For the price you get free range balls and GPS electric carts. Club house / bar was clean. Food was a bit pricey ($17 Whiskey Burger) but quality was better then average. Strange rule with carts when pairing up with strangers, you have to share a cart…☹️. With so many people sensitive to COVID, was caught off guard with this “house” rule. Overall great course and will be back..with a friend.
Whiskey Creek
The fairways were in good shape, greens were okay given a recent aeration. . Pace was slow due to a foursome the marshall couldn’t move along and he lost his walkie-talkie. The cart’s monitor went off constantly because of this and other annoying messages.
Whiskey Creek
Fantastic golf course, beautiful views, great food and relaxing club house with plenty of good bourbon!!
