They needed to make sure there were enough carts for the 1 foursome ahead of us before issuing us a cart. Photo submitted by u6463401 on 08/20/2023

Good course but Cart Trails only next 6 months is only negative
The course is a good challenge from the back tees but the golf shop informed us that the course was going to be Cart trails only until next april. Why would we play here the next 6 months when every course in the city is NOT cart trails only
9 hole course
Not bad for a 9 hole course but a little pricey compared to other similar courses. Greens were in good shape & the layout is solid
Keep on mowing!
"Getting ready for the fall and early spring"
The course was in good shape but still could be better with a make-over on the tee boxes, sand, and fairways this winter. I will continue to use it as my home course because I like the girls in the clubhouse. They are very respectful, helpful, and always with a smile.
See and Feel the Improvement
I sense good progress in the upkeep and maintenance of the course overall. The greens are great, fairways have feel (in most cases) and well manicured considering the poor quality of soil in the area. This course has the potential to be recognized as one of the better link courses for its layout and short game challenge. Good job!
Getting Better.
Good improvement on fairways in most cases. The course still lacks adequate drainage infrastructure especially for the fairways. The greens are some of the bests in the Norman area even though they are small they are very challenging with the sloping, speeds, and pin placements in accordance factors.
A quick note of etiquette, the local boys seem to think they can do what they please when on the course and violate basic rules of etiquette and courtesy to other golfers. One group I encountered had 8 individuals playing together. They got a little too loud and seemingly forgot they were on a golf course. Keep the course under control.
Get what you pay for
Course was really fun and challenging but the conditions were not it, dead grass and poor tee boxes and greens. I don’t think there was a single tee box that didn’t feel like I was trying to put it into a rock. Some greens were also rough and patchy. But the course itself was fun and really challenging. A lot of shade too
Bad experience. Bad staff.
The staff was extremely rude to my group and noticeably more hostile towards my friends of a different race compared to me. Course conditions are just alright but you get what you pay for. They followed us around the course to ensure our friend who didn’t have clubs didn’t play, and insisted he still pay. I guess they don’t have anything better to do with their time. Won’t be back.
Keep Working
Good early morning rain contributed to the good condition of the course. Still need some work on the tee boxes and parts of the fairways. Better today than last week. Friendly staff makes up for the work needed on the course. I will keep coming back because of the staff and management. Good people.
Keep On Working
I've been Playing this course since its inception and it has improved my short game and precision shots to the greens, as well as my putting. Keep the tee boxes healthy, the fairways covered with grass, and the staff as super friendly and I will continue to play here. Move those flags around more often and put some liquids on the course during the hot days. I'll be back.
“Championship” Course?
The course conditions are mostly poor/fair. The tee-boxes are hard, with some just dirt and weeds. Some fairways have no grass with tractor ruts, right in the middle (holes 1&18, for example). Greens are slow, with some slight damage on the edges of most of the greens. The greens are also uneven, with some pin placements on slopes. Staff members were working on the course/greens while you were playing, so you would just have to constantly yell for them to move. The course layout is completely confusing, but if you like circus mazes, then maybe this is for you.
The fairways are pretty tight on the front 9. The back 9 opens up a bit. The par 5’s are actually pretty challenging holes - so I did find those decent, if you could deal with the conditions. Overall, probably overpriced for what you get. If you’re a military member or have access to Tinker AFB, I’d recommend playing that course, which is in much better condition for a better price.
Getting Better
THe past month's rain has nourished the overall course well. Fairways are fuller, greens are greener, and water ponds in the middle of the fairways have drained or dried, or both, out.
There is still some work to be done (traps, tee boxes, fairway fertilized, and golf shop expanded in merchandise and refreshments, but otherwise there has been progress since my last outing at the Links.
Mother Nature Contributions
Course was in fairly moderate condition. Mother Nature's rain saved the course some major energy but exposed the need for better drainage. Greens were in good condition, but tee boxes and fairways still need some work. Overall, I felt the course had improved since last month. Staff is great! Pay them more!
Links course in Norman
Good value on GolfNow, I would not have played at the course rate. Due to frequent rains it was cart path only and there were bad drainage issues on most holes and on the cart paths. Lots of people were enjoying the course and the pace of play was good. Tee boxes need a little work. Greens were in good condition considering the recent weather, they were slow which added a challenge.
The Links 6/1/25
Unfortunately, The Links was hit by rain the night before. I had paid for myself and a friend to play 18 holes with a cart. When I got there, I was informed that no carts were able to be used. No explanation was given for that. I felt that was something that could’ve been explained as I had paid for the tee time with a cart. The associate at The Links was helpful and said we could try and contact GolfNow for a refund and they could call The Links. However, we had already driven from out of town to play there. We decided to play. The course was extremely flooded, and this is not the first time I’ve encountered this with The Links even with a little bit of rain. I hope they can manage water retention better for the future. Multiple holes were nearly unplayable. I felt if carts weren’t able to be used, a discount or waived cart fee in the future would have been a fair compromise.
