pretty good
greens were nice besides the grass around the cup was a little over grown
Great beginner course to get familiar with your clubs
The course for the most part is in decent condition. I have a few gripes, but for the price you can’t beat Cobble Stone Creek. The greens can be difficult and fast for beginners and a solid reminder to seasoned golfers to stay sharp even when it seems easy. The par three course is excellent practice to familiarize yourself with your irons and wedges. The bunkers are in rough shape and in desperate need of restoration (most have been lacking sand). The tee boxes are typically shredded with divots and need to have new sod put in. The carts are a 50/50 if the battery will last till hole 3. If there was a bit more of an investment from the higher ups this could be a real hidden gem! Definitely worth a round, or two!
Great par 3 nine hole course to ease me back into golf.
I haven’t been golfing in over 3 years and was looking for a short, inexpensive course to get back into the swing of things. This course was perfect for what I needed and surprised me with how many ways they could change up an all par 3 course. I’ll be sure to return again if I have a couple hours free to get in a round.
Overall Experience Poor
No driving range, no practice green or practice chipping areas to warm up. Show up and play mediocre is the game. No listing on Golf now of the course par. Showed up to a par 3 course with no amenities and paid full price of a normal course with normal amenities.
fun little par 3
Enjoyed my 9 holes! They do need to fix a few of the tee boxes. hitting off range carpet is not ok. The greens and the layout were great!
A fun course with a challenging layout
I played in a day that was very wet due to a heavy rain that had been and continued to rain for days. None-the-less, this course was a blast. The course has all par 3s, but they are well guarded and it takes a lot of skill and creativity to navigate. It was my first visit, but I hope to go again many times in the future. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone.
Great for practicing your short game.
Played here a lot around 15-20 years ago, figured I’d go back and play a round, then overall the course was in excellent condition outside of the water logged bunkers but we’ve gotten record rainfall this year, (actively being pumped out) So I understand the struggle.
There’s a good mixture of challenging and forgiving. Very nice relaxing round. If you don’t have a consistent swing you might struggle in a few spots.
Staff was friendly enough, cart was in great condition. Area was very quiet.
Only a few broken tees on the tee boxes here and there just from lazy people not cleaning up after themselves.
And the aforementioned bunkers having a little water in them are really the only thing I’d have to complain about.
Neglected - Poor
Feel bad writing this bec I know who owns this course. However, there’s a threshold of playability and conditions necessary to play a round of golf.
- Below that here at Cobblestone.
> both carts ran out of juice during play.
> tees are abysmal and many have no grass at all.
> generally unkept conditions
> pro shop has practically nothing in it
Having said all of that, I want to support local par 3 courses for all of the reasons. Can’t play here anymore. Comparing this to the Par 3 in west moore next to the bar and mini golf: cobble gets a 1 and the bar gets a 10…
Great little par 3
Some very pretty and challenging holes. Lots of elevation changes and great use of natural terrain to make an awesome little course for the price!
