Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Great Time as per usual
Great course, Well kept. Pace has been slow the last week rounds that I played but other than that I highly recommend to everyone. Staff is great and friendly and the course is challenging but fun.
First time out
It was a first time for 3 out of the 4 of our 4 some. We played Pines-Links. Links was much more challenging. The drive to get there is interesting. Overall would love to play again. The cart girl made her rounds at the right time. Tee boxes were good, greens were great. The course has a few more lost balls than it did before we played.
Great round with friends
I had a great time at Eagle Ridge. It's a great course and it's unfortunate that its going to become a housing development in the next few years. I hope to get back before it officially closes. It's only an hour from Philly.
Quality Course with a Great Layout
3.6 handicap, first time playing the course and went from the tips (pine-links). It was a fair and challenging course where every hole was unique and enjoyable. In spite of heavy play and waiting for many shots, the course was in good condition (however, people do need to fix their ballmarks on greens, but that is the case with nearly any public course).
I am not from the area, but was staying around the course and found it to be a very good experience. I would happily play it again and for golfers who do not like redundant back and forth holes that lack anything unique or challenging, this is a perfect course as you will be able to play different and creative shots and have plenty of attractive holes to play.
Nicest course in ocean county!
This is an overall very nice course. It’s pretty well kept for mid August. It’s definitely the nicest course in Ocean County. Every employee with whom I interacted was very friendly. Challenging greens, especially on some par-3s.. Especially during off-peak times when it’s a bit cheaper, I will come back again and again
5-1/2 Hour Round
Terrible course management . Pace of play was ridiculously slow.
Made the turn to the 10th hole from Pines to Links and there was (3) foursomes waiting to tee off.
Miserable round.
Course was in Excellent Shape
Although it ws raining the entire time, the course was in good shape. It seems to drain well with a few exceptions. All in all we have great time and pace of play was very fast. Never waited.
Greens were covered with divots and ball marks, but otherwise in great shape
Nice terrain. Different elevations. Nice course. A bit wet. Possible due to heavy rains.
Courses on death row
A clear indication the course is on its way out is maintenance goes downhill.
Management doesn't care
. An example of the apathy is the driving range practice area. Management has completely let it go. The range balls, for the most part, are awful, the matts have seen better days and if you have a trap, please rake it occasionally. Fix the netting 11
The flower and shrub beds are getting overgrown by weeds !!.
The fact that you are still charging for the use of the range and practice area should dictate some general maintenance.
Courses on death row
A clear sign that the course is on its way out and management doesn't care is the course conditions go downhill The Driving range is atrocious..It is starting to get overgrown with weeds, Hedges not trimmed, and trash all over. The range balls are half good and half awful, the matts has seen better days.
If you have a practice area with a trap. ! ..Please rake the trap. Perhaps you can put a flag in the green area...fix the netting !!
the fact that you are still charging for the use of the practice area/range you may want to apply some general maintenance
