Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course

About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Great layout
Loved the greens and conditions of course were great especially the links.
Love this course
One of my favorites.
3 distinct nines keep u coming back.
But must say, first times greens were not in very good shape; suspect poor golf ethic among users with a lot of unrepaired ball marks (and I mean a lot). Otherwise in good condition considering.
Fun Golf Course
Great shape, nice layout, very challenging. Staff was very helpful and nice.
Disappointed
Used to love this course.....something has happened......staff was generally not concerned about helping you...we had called to be sure that there was handicapped concessions made to course, and when we got there were told it was cart path only for all....I paid for 18 holes, and barely made it around 9. The course was not as well kept as in the past.
The cocktail lounge for post game libation has been moved out of the main building to adjacent to the snack hut, and is not designed for congeniality...and the main building is now off limits!
I will be hard pressed to ever play the course again.
Played on Monday after a long very hot and humid weekend, hoping it would be a bit cooler, but it was not. First time playing this course and loved it. Played the front nine and the Links nine for the second. The Links was a bit more forgiving.
Unfortunately, it had rained the night prior and we were limited to cart path only but still completed the round in under 4 hours.
Good day all around. Recommend playing this course.
Poor management
Booked tee time as a single joining group of 3 others. I get to course and starter says I do not have a spot. Wait over half hour to be paired up. We were then put behind a large group of women golfers. That’s fine that they’re golfing but we shouldn’t have been out behind them when there are 3 separate 8 hole courses. Needless to say the round was over 5 hrs which is unacceptable in my mind. Waiting on every hole is not enjoyable.
Great track. Some very pretty holes. Many multi-tiered greens and tough pin placements made for a challenging, yet enjoyable round. Not sure I’d pay $88 to play there again but will definitely make my way back at some point.

Was there for an outing and found the course to be in great shape. Layout was nice. Condition was great. Stafff very friendly

Fantastic condition!
The course is in great shape from tee to green! Pace of play was excellent. I only hope they don’t close it down to build multi family housing!!!! The would be a crime.
Nice challenging course for the value
Lengthy and hilly course that’s a great challenge open to the public.
Enjoyable to play everytime
Played Pines/Ridge, our favorites. Occasional rain slowed us down a bit but still finished in a little over 4 hours. We always like this venue, primarily due enjoyable holes and friendly staff. The new "pub" facility very well received. If there is anything less than positive to say, I would mention that for golfers that rely on carts, many holes can be cart path only. A very minor negative for an excellent course to visit.
