THEY DO NOY HONOR GOLFNOW RATES

The 1-star is more for GolfNow than the course. Do not buy a tee time at this course. It will not be honored.

Clarifying: they do not honor "Hot Rate" tee times from Golf Now. They will gladly take full price tee times.

They do not honor golf now

They do not honor golf now. When I got to the golf course the marshal advised they do not take Golfnow and I’ve had issues with these in the past. He said they’ve communicated with golf now about it and still I stood before him with a purchase teatime that would not be honored

November Golf!

Greens a little shaggy in spots, but were still rolling fantastic for November. One of the best layouts in the city. Hidden gem.

Bring your best iron game with you to Creekmoor

The golf course at Creekmoor is a huge ball park that is well worth the 90+ rate to play at least once. The layout is really well done with a few really cool holes. The bunkering is different than a lot of courses you play but really fair. The fairways are very generous. However, the course gets hard starting on the approach. The greens can be very tricky to hit with the high winds around this property. Also, many of the greens have steep tiers (some of which are maybe a hair excessive) that can be very hard to get on and hold. Making all of this worse is the fact that Creekmoor has some almost US Open caliber rough. The stuff is thick, nasty, and can give some real cruddy lies. Your short game skills will be tested.

The green speeds out here are normally around a 10 which doesn’t seem to be great. However with these greens, having them smooth and at a 10 is good enough for a fun experience.

If I were to give any knocks on the course, they would be this. First, I do feel the tiers are a tad excessive in some places (the tier on 8 being almost unfair considering you can’t see the putting surface to start with). Lastly, while not the golf course’s fault, the big houses lining most holes isn’t my idea of a pretty view. However, the houses are far enough off the holes that they don’t influence play. If you can get past looking at the houses, you will like what you see in the golf course.

Maybe the Best Non-Private Course in the KC Metro

I've played Creekmoor a handful of times over the last 5 years and it's always been one of the best maintained courses around. White sand bunkers, great zoysia fairways and long, lush rough! Hitting the fairway is usually a must here as it can be tough to get a good shot out of the rough. The greens are usually fairly quick and in great shape. Be sure to choose the right set of tees (maybe play a little less than you usually do) as this course can play very long and tough. Highly recommend playing it if you can somehow get in cheaper than the $70-$80 they usually charge.

Nice Course, Awful Staff.

The actual course is nice, but overpriced. There are at least 5 other courses in the KC area that are much better and much cheaper. The staff is very disrespectful and they seem to forget their course is in CASS COUNTY not Johnson County. The layout is nice, the views are...well... if you like to look at a bunch of overpriced cookie cutter homes littered all over the place. They really need to consider replacing their Marshall, the old geezer loves to go around and badger younger groups and harass them their entire round.

Great shape, tough layout

Course is always in great shape, greens roll true, fairways and tee boxes are well maintained. This course is difficult, most of the landing areas off the tee are blind or have a well placed series of bunkers that can get you into trouble. Forget about hitting a wood from the rough, play smart and get an iron back in play as the rough is overseeded and 2.5-3.5" tall. The greens are difficult, very speedy and lots of varying breaks. This course is not for the golfer that shoots 90+ on an average course, if you do expect to shoot 105-120!

Hidden Gem!!!

Lived in the KC area for nearly 40 years and have played almost every venue open to the public and a few of the private venues. Creekmoor is an under-known gem just on the SE side of the metro area. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the course is of championship caliber, from the challenging layout to the white sand traps, heavy rough and sneaky greens.

A planned expansion of the clubhouse and facility will make this one of, if not, the top course in the area.

Best public course in KC area

Played 90% of the public courses in KC area and this is the best. Conditions were excellent. Course is long and tough but very open and fair off the tee. Worth the trip. Friendly staff and great challenge that makes you play every club in the bag. I've played 200+ courses on 4 continents and this ranks in the top 5. Worth a trip
