Over the past decade, Missouri's Big Cedar Lodge and Branson's collection of other top public golf courses are helping to put the 'Show Me' state on the map for traveling golfers.
GolfPass releases a Top 25 Public Golf Courses in Missouri every March thanks to YOU. We create our annual Golfers' Choice lists by curating the reviews submitted by everyday golfers. We use GolfPass' Ratings Index logic that weights newer reviews and combine it with a course's subcategory averages.
Each course needed at least two reviews and at least some public access to qualify. Unfortunately, none of the Big Cedar courses in the Ozark Mountains - Ozarks National, Buffalo Ridge Springs and Payne's Valley - received enough reviews to qualify. If you believe they belong, make sure to leave a review next time you tee it up. Just to clarify, short courses like Mountain Top and Top of the Rock aren't eligible for this list.
We make our Golfers' Choice best-of lists user friendly. Simply click on the photo of each course to learn more about the facility or to book a tee time (in most cases).

-
Creekmoor
Green fee: $70-$80
What they're saying: "I’ve wanted to play here for quite sometime and when I saw the (GolfNow) hot deal I jumped on it. Beautiful area and the course is challenging but a great layout. Greens had been recently aerated so not the smoothest surface but it has to be done to keep things pristine. I played terrible but I’ll be back to test myself again!" - GolfPass Reviewer -
Eagle Knoll Golf Club
Green fee: $85-$155
What they're saying: "The course is in excellent condition. The wind presented some challenges, but overall, it was a wonderful day on the course. The only staff I encountered was the bartender/clubhouse attendant. She was friendly and took care of our check in and cart assignment expeditiously." - GolfPass Reviewer -

Meramec Lakes Golf Course
Green fee: $18-$55
What they're saying: "Overall, an excellent golf experience. The front nine is flat with some water and more of a links layout. The back nine is hilly and wooded with several elevation changes. I also found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating." - GolfPass Reviewer -

Sun Valley Golf Course
Green fee: $14-$25
What they're saying: "Sun Valley is not on the beaten path which is why this is a hidden gem. The layout is awesome. There is a Par 6, which is pretty amazing. The views are awesome! There is not much to complain about when you compare the conditions to the cost. I paid $30 to play 18 holes (I paid to ride, but chose to walk). It is not an easy course to walk .. and I would not recommend walking because it’s extremely hilly and some of the length from green to tee is over 1/4 mile walk. But, I really enjoy playing this course." - Superdives -
