Pasadena Municipal Golf Course

When I first came to Texas in '05, went here to play golf and was TOTALLY disappointment with the course. It was a dump! Heard about the improvements in the course with a new mayor and management team, this course has made a complete 180! Fairways are in great shape, greens roll true. Very impressed on changes made throughout!

The lay out out is a bit off as there are long distances between green and tee. Good news there are signs now to show you where to go (used to be a guessing game). The greens may be the best around and overall condition is good. Staff is very friendly which is a big change from the past.

This course took great strides over the last couple years. They have smooth consistent greens and there is a difference between rough and fairway now. They are keeping this course in good shape these days.

Long walks between a few holes of your a walker.

I recommend they offer a veteran discount but outside of that great course.

I always enjoy playing this course. As far as value goes, it’s tough to beat. My only criticism is that the great value can draw people who have no business being on a golf course, and there’s never a marshall to keep order. My twosome got behind a five some playing extremely slow, who refused to let us play through. Nothing we could do except wait in frustration.

I live an hour from the course. I selected a tee time (1230) then went to the course arriving about 1215 to a sign on the garden saying "course closed". There was a truck on the other side driving away leading me to believe that it had just happened. Weather was fine. I won't try that again.

I used to play this course a lot but stopped due to exploring other places. The lay out takes some effort if you want to walk. You will have a long hike between holes 7 and 8.... and between 13 and 14. Number one is easy as long as you do not go right. It is a par 5 lined with wood directly to your right. The tee boxes and greens are in great shape but the fair ways could use some improvement. They were just like i remembered...hard and shallow with the grass. On the up side... you will get 20-30 more yards out of a drive. I would suggest you remain sort on your approach shots too. Most of the greens are man made hills that play like upside down bowls. It is easier to bump and run on than to chip on from the sides... I had several roll off this day... Overall, Great course for the price with some fun holes. I'll defiantly be back!

This course has some new guys managing the course and they are doing a lot of things to improve it. Major $$$ going into revitalizing the place. Everybody is very helpful and they even have classes for my son now...

I've played this course several times when im in a pinch for time since its close to my house but my last visit put the nails on the coffin on this course. The staff is rude and act like you're playing at a top class course no cart girls, the greens seem to not be trimmed and are super slow no marshals present to control pace of play and the sand traps were rock hard. Take your money elsewhere this course is not worth the rate. I haven't seen any maintenance workers in the past 3 outings .
