The Battleground at Deer Park

The tee boxes are terrible, the fairways are all dried up and the putting greens are in bad condition. I will never play in this course again until they fix all issues.

I played on a Wednesday at 2:15. Not too crowded. Clubhouse is very nice and course was fun. They need to work on teebox conditions but other than that is was great.

First things first, they need a starter at hole #1 from the first tee time. Everyone was just lining up and going off as groups of 2 with a couple groups of 4 ahead of them. This slows down pace of play tremendously especially when that group of 4 should have been playing from the front tips instead of the back. The greens were better a couple months ago. They now have crab grass growing on them. We did not see a beverage cart come by the entire round. The driving range also needs to be open when the course is open. It would have been nice to get warmed up before playing.

The staff was really great and the layout of the course is good. Some tee boxes were closed and a few others probably should have been.

Worst pace of play I’ve ever played, 1 or 2 groups waiting on every tee box. We played for 4 hours and only made it through 11 holes before we called it quits. Fairways were rock solid ,tight and so close together that 7/10 times there’s someone from another hole hitting off your fairway. Greens were like putting on the driveway, barely any grass and very hard dirt. Will not be coming back.

4 hrs and 45 minutes. Stood around on every tee box and every fairway shot. Never saw a course marshal until we walked off the 18th green.

I know it's winter, but come on... The course looks like it hasn't seen a sprinkler in months! Nearly all of the tee boxes were so hard you could hardly push a tee in, and the fairways were hard-pack and extremely dry! The extra roll is nice... unless the farway slopes to the water, then your ball is gone. That happened 2 or 3 times to me in today's round.

Please water the course!

Beautiful nice golf course good maintenance on field . Great personal. But need screen TV to watch the courses ⛳⛳ on golf cart.

They tried to cram 2 people into me and my friends tee time and the person me and my friend played with was passive aggressive. Not really a rookie course tbh . Staff was the only good thing here

Head reservations for two players and one Ryder

Guy behind the counter would only give us one cart and I said how we gonna fit three people in one cart paid for two we should get two he said no so we didn’t golf we left. Over the year has been there many times with everybody having their own cart. Will not go back.

First course I ever played in Houston area (30 years ago) and it was top notch. Sure it’s a muni but with some grooming and marketing to support each other could regain top level status.

The evidence of past management mistakes are virtually gone! I’ve always loved this track and finally will put it back on my regular playlist. Can’t beat the practice facility, carts in great shape, Republic Grill is dependable again; can’t wait to get back soon.
