About
Walt Denzer was on to something in 1993 when he combined a bustling sports bar and grill with a lighted 9-hole par 3 and 9-hole regulation course. Stonegate, on the south edge of Lubbock, is an extremely popular place to enjoy the game, whether you’re up for a five-hour afternoon or a quick evening practice round.
The course design features large, elevated bent-grass greens and some surprisingly challenging holes. The regulation course is straightforward and easy, so good shots are rewarded. The par 3 course is particularly tough, however, and will really test your short game.
Getting there : Take the 98th St. exit off of Hwy. 87 and drive west to Indiana Ave. Turn left and the course is just down the block.

Overall one of my favorite corses in lubbock Texas.
Stone gate is one of my favorite places to play golf in lubbock, Texas. The conditions have improved with new ownership and I love working on my short game on the ba k nine. If ever I just want to play a great round of golf in the short time frame, stone gate is always my choice. Friendly, great conditions and just and really nice lay out. Thanks stone gate.
Neat little course and easy to walk
Back nine had varying length of Par 3 holes. Nice little course for the cost and nothing to hazardous for wayward drives.
