Spring Valley Golf Course

About
Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

course needs help
Excellent golf course that is being neglected currently.
Excellent course
I have always enjoyed spring valley GC, I’ve been going there a couple times a year since high school (I graduated in 2000). But this last time, they even gave me a refund for a hot deal, pre-paid tee time because my partner couldn’t make it. Pace of play was phenomenal, 18 holes in under 3 hours. Spring Valley is just an excellent course to play
First time at Spring Valley
Course was a good value. Pace seemed a little slow. Could not get the cart girl to serve us, We did see her twice, but she seemed to be in a hurry.
Fun and challenging
I like playing this course because the staff is very friendly, the food is great and the challenges are on many holes.
This course was one of my favorites
Really liked the course. Great character too it, especially on the back 9. Not too many trees or water. Sand traps were sure challenging! Pin placement difficult but made it fun. Some dog legs on the back and lots of rolling hills up towards the greens.
Great course in good condition
Fun layout would recommend for any level of golfer. Challenging, but definitely fun
In the boonies
The back nine are much nicer than the front.nine. The sand traps are unique in their construction for the area. Nice club house and driving range. Many tight landing areas from the tee box
Tell your golfers to repair divots on greens
Maybe it was because there lady league played in the morning but every green had multiple ball divots that golfers didn't repair. Not great when your putting and your ball his a divorce and changes direction. Location is kinda out there.
Great course!
Course is very well maintained and has a great scenery and well maintained fairways and greens.
Not great
They need to take better care of the course, especially the greens. Not a good value for the money they charge to play here.
My favorite Colorado course
Unfortunately for me I live over 50 miles away. Otherwise, I'd join Spring Valley as a member. It is worth the 70-minute drive to me and I go there often. The layout of the course is about perfect for public play. Too many courses want to have the toughest course around and introduce playing qualities that are not much fun for the average golfer. My home course, for example, has ridiculously mounded and domed greens that should be reserved for professional play--they only embarrass most public golfers. This course is always in great shape and the staff goes the extra step to make golf day pleasurable. The driving range is huge and can accommodate a ton of golfers. Colorado has an awful lot of excellent golf courses but this one is my favorite.
Worth your time
Been 10 years ago and came back to play the course that I grew up. Still in good condition. so don't take my words, go and try this course and see why I enjoyed the course again.
Your feedback is important to us, rnilson. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing Spring Valley Golf Course.
