Spring Valley Golf Course
About
Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

Close to home
They've improved the course over the years but now that the cost is as high as anywhere else in Denver, without the quality of the experience, it's still only a course to play if there's nowhere else available. Lots of families and beginners on the course so it's usually a 5hr round. 3:50 tee time, $86 with cart. Small bucket $6. Threesome with a walker. Played two balls on a few holes, still waited on every tee. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape, wet. Greens were too wet, leaving shoe indentions. Probably running around 8 speed and bumpy. Putting was basically pointless. Lots of mosquitoes on #6,#17,#18. All the water stations were empty. Beverage cart was out until 5pm and she mentioned she was done for the day. Saw the marshall twice. Drove by once on the front, and then he was with two men on the backside that were fishing one of the course ponds (I would also like to fish that pond). Thought he might be chasing them off, but he drove one of them back to their truck to get some more supplies. Lol, I consider myself a high tech redneck and consider Spring Valley a ountry course with a city price tag. 4:10 round, I shot 41/42 Blue tees, and yes I'll play there again at some point.
Great course!!
Beautiful but a hot day. Lots of water stations to fill up water bottles all over the course as well as bathrooms. The golf course was beautiful and it was a great day out.
Excellent off-city course
Need a break from the Metro area? This place is a hidden gem only 30 minutes from Denver. Conditions are great, not a hard course and pace of play was excellent.
Do yourself a favor and play this course at least once.

Great Course and well worth the money.
Not sure why it is not offered on MilitaryTeeTimes.com
Decent Course at a Good Price
This course is way out there. Not really in metro Denver. Maybe a 15-20 minute drive from E-470. Was in decent shape considering our drought in Colorado. A basic, no-frills course.
Won't be back again
The course was in terrible shape for them charging this much to play. Additionally there was absolutely no marshaling throughout the whole 18 rounds. They told us at the start its averaging 4 hours 20 mins. It took us nearly 5 hours and 20 mins to finish up because there were so many bottlenecks, groups were moving extremely slow, etc. Ridiculous price for both the shape of the course and the terrible pace of play. Take your money/time elsewhere.
Not worth the money
The course condition is terrible—there’s barely any distinction between turf and bare ground.
Won’t recommend to others.
When will it rain?
Dry and a little windy but always fun to play. There are some great key shots you have to pull off if you want to play well at Spring Valley. The course record is (67) and in these conditions today, I got close to it with my (68)!
Good layout
Course was good and staff friendly. Wind on this day was a bit harsh.
