About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 7180 yards
Slope 135
Rating 72.1

Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

Fantastic country setting with running creek right through the middle.

Long drive from most everything, but is worth the drive. The country setting with babbling brook and thick cottonwoods will make me come back. Fairways were in very good shape, but a few of the green look like they had some winter kill. Still kind of early in the season though. Very friendly cart girl and golfed with a super nice twosome who lived locally. Worth the drive and through Golf Now, received decent value.

Good Course for the price

The course is a typical eastern plains course. Pretty flat with some Cottonwoods lining fairways. You can stay out of trouble pretty easily as long as you don't hit it into the bunker with trees growing out of it. Sloping greens make putting fun!

Not terrible conditions for early spring

The course has some narrow holes and is fairly challenging. There are some fun holes that are hard without being unnecessarily tricky. Beautiful course that I will play again.

Even better in the summer time

It's hard to critique a course in the winter time because you should just be happy it's open for golfing in this climate. But in the summer time, this is a fun track that mixes in a little of everything with small elevation changes, water, big Cottonwood trees, and no houses crowding any fairways. It's like golfing in the countryside but a short drive from the city.

I LOVE THIS COURSE

I just played this course for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back 3 times since. The course is challenging yet enjoyable to play. For October, it is in fabulous shape. The autumn color and weather has made it some of the most enjoyable golf I've played all season. The staff is incredibly friendly and the price is one of the best deals you can get in Denver. It is worth the drive from anywhere in Denver. YOU MUST PLAY THIS COURSE!

great layout

got there 5 min,. prior to tee time , due to getting lost traveling to site. wife and myself noted at sgn in we would be willing for the next group to go ahead and we would follow when there was a opening. Sign in person said we needed to go now as they had several groups behind us. We loaded up and off we went. Had a single pass on the second hole and never had a group behind us the remainder of the outing. Nice course, fairways and greens in great playing conditions. Hope to return in spring.

Nice course, too expensive without discount for little amentiies

Need to upgrade course facuilities including bathrooms on course.Carts have no additional features such as gps. A little of beaten path for most folks, but usually easy to get tee time during week.
