Spring Valley Golf Course
About
Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

Hidden Gem
I really enjoyed playing this course. The back 9 is gorgeous, you will use every club in your bag. I highly recommend playing this course. It is a nice break from playing Denver courses that are backed up on every hole.
Goat Ranch
I played just after a men's club tournament. The flags were setup at an average of 10' from the edge of the greens, with side hill lies, I felt like I was playing a US Open, very difficult, so I like the corse, but will ask before booking if a men's club event is being held that day.
Liked the course layout pace of play was a little slow almost a 5 hour round
Greens need work lik putting on lenolium patchy.
Beautiful scenery
Fabulous day of golf. Beautiful old trees and great staff. great food too.
Great course no one knows about
This course is a bit of an adventure to find, but it is worth it. I would advise you to play as early in the morning as you can,as the weather can take a turn around 2pm and get very windy. The course is very well taken care of with some very interesting holes. Some of the par 3's are pretty long, which offers a unique challenge. When I played there was a mens league event going on, so the pace of play was slow. That was my only complaint. Other than that one issue, this was a fantastic round of golf and I will be going back again.
Great Course
Great value and the course does a good job of keeping the pace of play up.
Friendly relaxed environment
Course is greening up nicely. Greens rolling OK for having been aerated 1 month ago. Still a little slow.
Personnel very frendly and accomodating. Some fun and challenging holes.
sanded greens
Greens were rough, recently sanded and not true at all.
MAKE TIME FOR FOOD & DRINK
Very good food for a small, out-of-the-way course.
So far, have eaten a burger, the salmon & a salad, all very good and nice pub setting with plenty of TV's.
A fun little course out in Elizabeth.
Good shape for mid-March.
Xlnt value.
Somewhat challenging but just a fun course.
Front & back nine very different, back more challenging.
Greens very fast, practice 1st!!!
Worth the drive...
Always an enjoyable place.
The rural setting and very laidback feeling seem to always make for an enjoyable round of golf.
Very Nice Course
The course is in great shape for the end of October. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the greens are very fast. Almost unfair for an occasional golfer. Practice on the putting green before you play your round.
first time at Spring valley
The course layout is interesting, sometimes felt like it had hazards in strange places. Bunkers are very hard so you have to "pick" out your ball if you land in them. Par 5's tend to have a lot of rolling humps that just didn't seem to serve a purpose. Greens were in great shape, but almost miniature golf undulations and or configuration.
Still fun to play but won't be a favorite.
A gem in the country
Spring valley golf club was well worth the 45 min drive east from south denver. Fairways and greens were in great shape despite several days of recent rain. I would guess the Putts were rolling at about a 10, and it took me a few 3 jacks to figure out the speed. But the surfaces were rolling really true with hardly any pitch marks. A rarerty at many courses these days.
A twosome invited me to play through, and I ended up with a nice 3 hour round.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
This was my first time at spring valley in several years, but I plan to go back again soon!
Beautiful gem worth the drive.
I drove up from Colorado Springs to play this course. At first, I wasn't so sure about the course. I believe it's the third hole that there is olf farm equipment behind the tee...then on the fourth or fifth hole, an old truck broken down next to the fairway. And on the 10th tee box, there is a house from like 1909 just forward of the teebox (hope you don't slice terribly....). BUT...taking a step back...viewing the trees starting to turn gold and red...it all fit. The course was beautiful. Holes weren't too difficult but provided some challenges here and there. Placement was key, and the greens were super fast and very unforgiving.
I will definately make the trip up here again. Maybe wait till October and enjoy the scenery a little more.
Spring Valley
Play this course roughly every weekend. Probably one of the better public courses in the Denver area. Grass is kept up well despite it being October. Greens are fairly soft but can be pretty quick this time of year. Like the layout. Unfortunately, being that it's public, you get your guy golfing in jeans and taking 8 putts to sink a hole while you wait fairly often.
Nice Muni Course
I played on a Sunday afternoon to avoid watching football. Beautiful day, paired me up with three other guys who were all pretty good. Always more fun when everyone is about the same ability level.
Course itself was in very good shape, the fairways and greens were very watered with a few spots in the fairways that were a bit mushy. We have not had any rain in like a month, so the areas that were not watered, were quite dry.
Front nine is pretty open, you can see pretty much where everything is and will play to. Back nine is very different, more woods and more hills with some blind shots.
Greens were very fast, you had to land balls before and roll them on.
Overall very nice course, it is out in a bit of nowhere, but worth the drive.
Okay Course
The course is nice. It is a long way out there, not exactly somewhere I would go out of my way to play again.
Great Time
This was our first time playing this course and will not be our last! The staff was awesome and extremely friendly, the course was it great shape. Some of the holes were a little tight but that makes it fun right! This course is a must play! :)
nice challenge-w/o being too difficult
friendly staff, pace of play was under 4 hrs., have played here several times before. back 9 is more difficult then the front. at this point I will always return
Slow...
checked in as a single, front desk had record of my tee time but attempted to charge me full rate and had no clue I had prepaid thru this app. Once I showed him my receipt on my phone it was honored but they gave me the impression that I wasn't very welcome. Went out as a twosome and after 4 holes a traffic jam of 3 other groups held up the rest of the day.
