Broken Tee Englewood - Par-3 Course
About
One of the golf courses at Broken Tee Englewood is a nine-hole, par-3 course and there is also a championship-length course. Previously under the name Englewood Golf Course there had only been one course, but after a few renovations, the facility's name changed to Broken Tee Englewood and two Perry Dye-designed courses are now offered. The nine-hole municipal course offers 1,750 yards of golf at its longest tees. The course offers great practice for beginning golfers. Broken Tee Englewood also boasts an excellent junior golf program, which makes this municipal facility perfect for family outings. On the premises there are several convenient amenities such as a lighted driving range, pro shop, and restaurant. Englewood is a spikeless facility.

Great time, beautiful layout, will play again and tell others to play round.
Broken Tee is a favorite
I love this course. There is a lot of water to contend with so bring extra balls. (or just high them straight)
The play was a bit slow but I as a single female golfer was paired with 3 guys that were wonderful.
Good course for the money!!
Fairly short compared to other courses in the area
unhappy
dirty cart, no signage, no water.
Can't wait to go back
I went out there today, on an off and rainy Tuesday. It was literally only myself and another young pair of guys on the course. Loved the layout, challenging tee shots with a lot of hills -- which is hard to find in metro Denver. I could tell the greens would be much more challenging if it wasn't raining, but there was still 6 or 7 putts I had to play over a foot of break. When I arrived, I paid for my round and bucket of balls then went over to order a sandwich from the bar. The egg croissant sandwich was delicious but took about 7 minutes - which was a little longer than I planned. I went to the front desk and asked if I could get my money back for the bucket of balls and she did it, no questions asked. I can't wait to take my friends back there!
Confusion in the clubhouse
Visiting the area for work and got out to play some golf and found a hot deal on Golfnow. They must not have notified Golfnow about them aerating the greens on half the course, so the back nine was closed and had to play the front twice. Other issue was the guy at the counter had issues with seeing that I paid through GN and I had to pull up my confirmation email to prove it. Also it was ladies league night and myself and another guy got an ear full from one of the ladies about being on the course in front of them.
good for the money
The course is bad shape and green is horrible. But season is about to start and I am sure they will do something.
Very good for the money.
Broken Tee GC
First time playing this course, nice course, challenging. Greens were slow but in good condition, Excellent practice area.
Sunday Slow Play
Loved the course but the staff and the beverage cart were MIA. Slow play was PAINFUL. I had to call into the started to request assistance on the back nine. Staff should have been visible on the course - Sunday, 90+ degrees, walkers... ugghhh
What a joke
I'll start by saying the round took six and a half hours and only played fifteen holes. Was on sixteenth tee when a cart kid came out and told me that if I brought my cart back now they would give me a 9 hole raincheck. So I brought it back but the lady told me she would not give me a raincheck!!! What? She proceeds to tell me that carts have to be in a 730 and he would have taken it from me if I hadn't brought it back ...well fine take my cart I would have walked the last 3 holes but instead I was lied too....what a sleazy move...the course had no Marshall on a Saturday afternoon...would send off twosome then twosome then threesome then single then foursome ...people playing in jean shorts and flip-flops ....absolutely no etiquette at broken tee ...definitely a place for beginners and twice a year " party golfers"
Nice Muni Course
I played on a Friday afternoon, seemed like the entire down of Denver was trying to sneak out and go golfing. Front nine was pretty full of people, but a lot of people were only playing nine holes, including the threesome I was paired with.
Course was in good shape, greens rolled good, the fairways were mostly in nice shape, the rough was pretty short, so not playing the hardest. Not the hardest course in the area, but not super easy either.
Since I got a later in the afternoon tee time, the ranger was adamant about the carts back at a certain time, and made it a point to drill it into your mind.
The driving range was horrible, no grass on the tees at all.
great bang for the money!
Excellent course at a reasonable price. the course is in great shape and the staff is very friendly. Sometimes the pace is a little slow but this saturday things were moving fairly fast.
nice golf course
course was in great shape. quite challenging. some of the best on course sandwiches in the metro area.
It Could Be...but isn't
This could be a great city course...but it just isn't. The single biggest issue is the very slow pace of play. When I mentioned the slow pace to the clubhouse...they actually said, "There is nothing we can do about that." To be more accurate; they choose to do nothing about it.
Why is it so slow?
1. No Marshall
2. They don't start groups on time...starter stays inside, rather than on the tee box of #1.
3. Lots of water and woods...and beginners. Bad combo.
4. A cart lady that serves as a human rain delay.
5. A tight layout that requires accurate shots.
If there was NO ONE on the course, you would enjoy a fun but challenging layout with a range of holes and shots. The greens are ok for the amount of play.
They have some great deals on weekdays and specials online. Which is also why they get so much play.
A little overpriced at the regular rate.
Sunday Afternoon Round
Beware if you hate slow play.. Had an afternoon tee time and the pace of play was horrendous as it took almost 3 hours to finish the front 9.. It sped up a little bit on the back as many groups only played nine. compared to other courses in the area, i thought the course was not in very good shape.. fairways were fine but the greens were definitely bumpy.
Very Nice Course
I have played at Broken Tee in Englewood multiple times, and consider it my home course. The front 9 is a Links style course, while the back 9 is a Meadows style. The fairways are always in great shape, as are the greens. It challenges from the Blue tees, as water come more into play on multiple holes.
The only negative is the driving range. They use mats on weekends, which I am not fond of, and the yardage is not posted. Also the chipping area is not as well maintained as the course. These are minor issues that do not take away from the overall expierence. The putting greens however, are well kept, and have nice sloping height changes, that makes it great to practice.
The staff is great! Never had any issues with them, and have never seen anyone have issues either.
Very affordable.
