Nine Hole at Shary Municipal Golf Course

Today I played this course for the first time in at least 5 years and not sure why this course is in such bad shape. It used to be one of the best for this area. Green fees charged are ridiculously high for the poor course conditions you are getting. Looks like the fairways haven't been cut in weeks all over the course and I didn't see one mower out there fixing the issues. Greens are consistently bare throughout the round. The staff was very friendly and the pace of play was great because there were only a few other people on course. It is just so sad to see this course get to this point. I have so many great memories with my family years ago on this course, but for sure I will not be playing here again.

Played here a few times before and the greens were in much much better shape. Some greens made putting impossible but again not all of them are like this. For the price though, it’s a great little muni that delivers especially during week when nobody is there and you can play an extra shot for practice.

It’s a classic. But front 9 greens are very rough. The improve on the back 9 and some holes role quite nice. For less than $20 on the golf app it’s fine. But I would pay much more for those greens.

Fairways were a bit low on grass. Greens had recently been sanded. Course definitely needed water.

The course lay out is awsome but the greesn are trash and I'm not over exaggerating .

Probably the worst greens i have ever been on. Minimal grass and bare spots thoughout. Greens had what looked like small craters on them with no grass and sand. Playing time was awful as we were thrown on behind a 6 some who would not let us thro as a 2 some. We finally went around them and did not see anybody for the next 5 holes to show the gap. They have new golf carts but should have spent money on the course. Have played ther twice and will never go back

Greens were horrible, we invoked the two putt rule on the greens. Fairway was rough but green. Could be a nice tight challenging course if it was in good condition. I don't think we will be back until conditions change. Should be a 20 to 24 dollar course, not mid thirties, carts were newer and nice but course needs work.

Always enjoy playing at Shary. For winter golf the course was in very good condition.

Very confusing course. If the course at least had numbers identifying each hole it would be a lot simpler

Course has lots of hard pan shots and greens are bouncy. Reminds me of old municipal courses I played as a teenager. However you can almost always book a tee time when other courses are full.
