About
Situated on the north bank of the Guadalupe River, Starcke Park Golf Course (formerly known as Max Starcke Park Golf Course) stretches across a scenic landscape of century-old pecan trees. The golf course is easy to walk being of mostly flat terrain. Trees line the fairways, making accurate tee shots top priority in scoring well. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course and water hazards coming into play on a few holes for added challenge. Starcke Park Golf Course’s signature hole is the par-4 finishing hole, which requires a tee shot down a narrow fairway bordered by pecan trees on the right and a pond on the left. Considered one of the best municipal golf courses in Texas, Max Starcke Park G.C. also offers a practice and putting green and driving range.

This course is well maintained.
Great course. Challenging but not too challenging. It is a scenic, well maintained course with some difficult greens. It was quite enjoyable playing here.

Course was in great shape for the fist time playing there, looking forward to more rounds of golf in the near future… Staff and beverage cart girl where super friendly…
Great Day with my Wife and Grandarter
The Course is in good shape.
The fairways should be mowed a little closer and for sure the tee boxes. There are no collars around the greens. It's all mowed fairway height. Received a good rate on GN but had to pay an extra $20 for a rider. Not cool. The greens are rolling much better but are very hard. The bunkers are all in good shape as well. For a newly renovated course things are progressing nicely. Make sure you bring something to drink no water coolers on the course.
Great Course
This is hands down the best course in a 59 mile radius, from tee box to greens. Everything is in great shape and the staff are very friendly, pace of play is great and maintained by the Marshall.

I love the course layout and how wide open it is. I really enjoy this course.

I must say, Starke GC has outdone themselves! The course in great shape. Greens were a bit speedy. But, overall 5Stars
Slow foursome ahead
The foursome ahead of us was 3 holes behind the group in front of them. The marshal, Bill, came up on 10 and asked if we wanted to jump ahead. We did, and finished without a problem.
Great course, bad pace of play
Seems like a lot of folks come out for the low cost, a lot of inexperienced golfers holding up the pace perhaps.
Need a grill
Please add a grill for food options at the turn. Along with more water stations
Nice Redo
Course is in great shape. Greens could be a little smoother and receptive. Otherwise all good. Will be back real soon.
Mow the tee boxes
The grass in the tee boxes are way to high, plus you can barely get a tee in the ground
Great Remodel
Course is in good shape, fairways need to be cut lower, but I’m sure they are high because the grass is still growing in. I’d hope eventually they will lower the blade. The minor changes are great. Makeing #3 a par 5… awesome, #12 with the split fairway!!!!! Great!!!! Taking the mound out of #13!!!!👍🏻. Taking all the trees out of #15 makes it a drivable par 4. Love it.
Great updated course
Starcke has done an excellent job updating their course. We have golfed there before but our son literally thought it was a different course. Everyone is so nice too.
