About

Situated on the north bank of the Guadalupe River, Starcke Park Golf Course (formerly known as Max Starcke Park Golf Course) stretches across a scenic landscape of century-old pecan trees. The golf course is easy to walk being of mostly flat terrain. Trees line the fairways, making accurate tee shots top priority in scoring well. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course and water hazards coming into play on a few holes for added challenge. Starcke Park Golf Course’s signature hole is the par-4 finishing hole, which requires a tee shot down a narrow fairway bordered by pecan trees on the right and a pond on the left. Considered one of the best municipal golf courses in Texas, Max Starcke Park G.C. also offers a practice and putting green and driving range.

Winter conditions were great

Not as much patchiness as you’d expect fairways were nice for it being winter, greens were okay you could see the work being done to make them much better in the near future. Could’ve used some warm food for the turn

This course regularly allows groups of 5 and 6 play without anybody out there to make sure they’re allowing people to play through, pace of play I feel is the most annoying thing while on a course and they just don’t care about that, the course itself isn’t bad but it could be better if they wouldn’t allow those groups of 5 and 6 out.
