Legends Country Club

About
Legends is the only 18-hole option in Stephenville. Kknown for the its well-conditioned greens, it is an easy course that is enjoyable because of its laid-back atmosphere.
Here you’ll have the chance to start out strong, since the opening two holes consist of a 450-yard par 5 followed by a reasonably easy par 3. The most difficult par 4 and number one handicap is on the front in the 412-yard No. 4, but the remainder of the front poses little problems.
The same goes for the back nine–unlike many other courses today, it features two short par 4s to finish the round.
Getting there : From Hwy. 377, turn right on Lingleville Hwy., then travel to Ben Hogan Dr. and make another right.

Morgan at the front desk is the bomb.com. Made me feel right at home!
Good course with some hidden difficulties.
I really enjoyed playing this course. It was my first round of the year so I had to knock of the rust. The course was in a very good condition. Some holes have trees in the middle of the fair way and it was like my ball had a tree magnet in it. Some of the greens were very sloped and small which made them difficult to hit in regulation. Over all enjoyed the course. Will play it again next weekend.
Probably used to be a country club.
I will not return here. I never thought I was spoiled with golf, but this outing was a disappointment. I can't believe I'm writing about condition of cart paths but chunks of asphalt here and there then no path at all and every once in awhile some concrete for a stretch seemed like a club that is struggling to stay afloat. Holes were arranged weirdly, probably because of the houses, but it just doesn't work, at least for me. No plush grass in the fairways. Greens were reasonable but the old anthill design, again, probably designed a long time ago to try to make the best of the topography.
Save your $ and time and play somewhere else. If you drink allot of beer and are in a scramble, if could be fun.
Legends GC
It was unseasonably chilly for this time year, but perfect for a day on the course. This was the first time I had played at this course and I was pleasantly surprised. The front nine was strategically placed between homes and it some elevation changes through it. The back nine was literally located on farm, but was fun to play. The greens are very small and hard to stick on. I definitely would play it again with a little different strategy. The staff at the course were super friendly and over all I had a wonderful time. Don't forget to have the burger at the clubhouse.
good course
Played a round. Course is open and wide plenty of space. Some of the greens were poor condition. Overall a good course.
