Orpington Golf Centre - Cray Valley Course

Golf course in not bad condition. But if you go in a bunker take your ball out or damage your clubs. Went in club after ordered a steak bake and just tapped card as I see the price £5.50 for a steak bake absolute robbery. Greens are very slow

Long waits on every hole. Greens grass to long very slow and pin positions questionable.

I used to play here often, I stopped as it was going downhill, played again recently for old times sake and it's really atrocious, not worth half of what they're asking for. Greens are bumpy and so slow youd be better off using a wood than a putter, "fairways" are like the rough on any other comparitively priced course, you can literally hit your ball down the middle then struggle to find it when you get to where you think it landed. Tee boxes are an absolute joke, like they literally couldn't have made them any bumpier, the ball is an inch above your feet sometimes, awful. The only thing it has going for it is this; if you like to hit driver, you can pretty much let it rip on every hole that isn't a par 3, it's not a difficult course, it's wide and mostly straight. The difficulty comes in that you're pretty much guaranteed to have a bad lie on every shot, no matter where you land. To top it off, the local junkie goes around selling balls he's picked up in a plastic bag, to be honest, he fits right in with this course! Avoid at all costs, I will be from now on.

Haven't played there for some time but was invited by a friend so went along. Has grown up greatly with trees now lining most fairways, some challenging holes leading you to think your way round. Unfortunately poor maintenance and lack of real vision hold this course back... crusty fairways and poorly kept greens are a real issue here. The location of the course and local unsocial behaviours will always hold this centre back so really strange why they closed the back nine of the course away from the trouble, leaving in particular 5,6 and 7 exposed to criminal activity. Really feel with some investment and people who are passionate about this course and it could be so much more.

Last year course was a pleasure to play but this year it has been awful. Greens unkempt, local youths allowed to ride motorbikes all over the course, fairways bumpy and patchy.

Fist time playing the course. Impressed with the layout and condition. Some very nice holes and great value for money as i only paid £13 for 18 holes. The only down side was a group of local youths who were continuously riding a scooter around the course. It was a real shame. Will play there again but if the

Kids on mopeds driving round stealing flags and tearing up greens. Quite threatening, dont bother. Paid £10 to play so guess you can accept that.

pace was very good if I caught up with other people they let me through Green doing very good condition will definitely play again

Course in great condition, credit to the Greenkeepers and Staff. Worth playing if you haven't before as some tricky holes.

Tees were ridiculous , most of them were like teeing off a side hill lie , most of the greens were second rate , if they were not temps , which were terrible , overall 25 pound a round not worth half of that

I have been playing for about 8 yrs and these were the worst greens I have ever played on ,steer clear

It was nice for a public course but unfortunately there's been some malicious activity on some of the holes (especially hole 6 fairway) so that was disappointing. When the winter tees were used they were in good condition compared to other courses but had a couple of temporary greens. Will play again in the spring time.
