Webb Hill Country Club
About
Funeral home man and golf fan Bobby Owens led the development of Webb Hill CC in 1969, and the Leon Howard-designed 18-hole course has served Wolfe City ever since. This course is heavily wooded, with narrow, undulating fairways and a good combination of interesting tee shots. Howard’s design involves a few blind tee shots that play uphill, as well as a few from elevated tees that offer good views of the holes ahead. Water comes into play on half the holes, and the large greens are of medium speed.
No. 8 is the signature, playing 590 yards and requiring two tough shots down a swerving fairway lined by a lake. The approach is nasty because of the skinny green that is covered by trees.
Getting there : From I-30 east towards Greenville, take Hwy. 34 north to FM 2358. Turn left and the course is just down the road on the right side.

Overall a fun course
I like this course. Greens still have lot of sand and several holes are under repair, but overall a fun course.
Wish they had a functioning bar/grill to get some grub after the round. Either no food avail or they already ran out of food by the time the round is done.
Played here five years ago
This North Texas hilly track is a great value for your money and super friendly staff. I arrived late and there was no issue what so ever.
The course conditions were much better than the last time I played here over five years ago. The maintenance staff is doing what they can, but some areas need more live in the fairways and greens.
Overall, I’ll be back with my kids as everyone was really nice and pleasurable. The course can do tough if your not in the short grass with uneven lies, hills, forced Carrie’s and blind tee shots.
I’ll be back next weekend with my kids.
Great course with plenty of challenges.
The layout is impressive, the staff is the friendliest you’ll meet. We got through the front 9 within an hour and thirty minutes. The downside was catching up with several groups on the back 9 but overall it was still a fantastic time and the course was secluded and peaceful (until the back 9 with one group blaring music and two groups openly teeing off into each other and yelling back and forth). None of the issues were the courses fault.
Course was super wet from rains and all greens are dormant. I will be back once grass is green. Tough course.
Great Course!
Webb Hill has a great layout! It is a beautiful coursei in north east Texas. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Hidden gem
Nice course layout and a few holes with some elevation change which is always fun. Great price point
Fantastic beautiful course and an unbelievable value
I played this course for the first time. The man in the pro shop was friendly and engaging, he was welcoming and made sure I was prepared. The course was in fantastic shape, the fairways and greens were in great shape. I am a high handicapper and this course was challenging for me. This is a fantastic value, if this was closer to Dallas it would be much more expensive. I will go back here in a second, wonderful time!
Hidden East Texas Gem
Very beautiful and really tight course. Friendly staff.
Country Gem
Made the drive out from Dallas to Play Webb Hill and was glad I did. This is a great value course that has a fun layout located in a wonderful country setting. Front 9 was fun, and the back 9 was a good challenge. Lots of elevation changes, blind shots and forced carries. Greens were in good shape, but a tad slow. Fairways were good, but with a few rough spots...the same can be said for the tee boxes. However, for what I paid on Saturday morning, how friendly everyone was, the pace of play and how much fun I had this is a great place to play. Will be back.
