Fox woood first time
It was nice. Under construction rn with new owners.
Greens were shacky patchy. But I know it will get better. The yellow lines between 4 and 5 need to be re done hard to know if it’s your first time. Other than that freeways were good . Tee greens great. We had a blast will coming again
Longhills
Benton’s Longhills is a great course for your high handicapper to your scratch golfer. The course layout is nice, the course conditions could be better, however for 30$ + or - you won’t get better value for 18 and a cart.
Owner care about property development not course
Greens are more sand and some just destroyed
Water flow issues
No yard markings
Worst golf course I have played on. Such a shame!
Yikes
I will always play this course as long as it’s around. It’s the one I played growing up and holds many memories. But what is going on with the course maintenance? It’s in the worst condition it’s been in since they opened back up in 2016. The greens are anything but and the fairways have more crabgrass than my neighbors yard. The cost of a round compared to the conditions do not line up. It should be $25 at the most and even that’s probably too high. Makes me wonder if it’s only a matter of time until Longhills is only a memory. Sad to see it in such a bad state.
Go Anywhere Else
I've lived a lot of places and played a lot of golf courses and this is without a doubt the worst course I've ever played. To be clear - it is not even USGA rated... so you can't even post scores played here. The greens are laughable at best, many don't even have grass on them. The driving range only has bare dirt to hit off of, as well - which the pro shop staff did not mention when they sold me a bucket of balls. Only good thing about it was the pace of play since I had the place to myself.
Course condition is bad
Tee box either had no grass or rock hard and difficult to get a tee in. Greens were 30% gone. Fairways had some grass but more rock. I have seen this course in better shape but has slipped over the last couple of years. On the positive, staff are very friendly.
Longhills has really gone downhill.
Not sure what is going on, but the course has really taken a turn for the worse. And the construction company that is building the apartments is using part of the course.
