A good place to play
This course is a bit remote but for the price you pay it's a great little find. The staff is always supper nice and they are always working on the course to keep it up for the players. This is the first time I played at this location this year and the course was in great condition. It's inexpensive to play and the pace is almost always in line with other more expensive courses in this area. The owner really cares about the condition of the course and making sure it's playable every time I have ever played there. For the price you can't go wrong.
Beauty of a course
Lots to say about this course. First, the clubhouse is super nice and staff is extremely friendly! Second, the course is a 9 hole course but its huge. First tee is set about a mile from the clubhouse and the course has a lot of hills so i wpuld highly recommend a cart. The course itself is beautiful, extremely wide open, very well maintained. A lot of deer and other wildlife all around. Pace of play is always great, since the course is so large you can usually take your time. Rates are a bit high but you can always find deals on golfnow. Last time i played, i paid 13 bucks to play 9 holes. Took about 2 1/2 hours.
Good December golf
On an relatively mild high 40's December day the day after Christmas this was a nice relaxing getaway from the holiday routine. The course was in very good condition even as the greens were a little Velcro like, which is not unexpected in winter. Course will be closed for a couple months so probably won't get back there till early Spring. It's a nice break from 4 plus hours to go and play 9 holes. Not a good course to walk overall. Houses around buffered nicely from the course.
Improving conditions
Course is in best shape it has been. Not a bad 9 holes but there are two holes that are bad designs. They can be playable once you figure them out but that doesn't make them good holes. Overall it's a fun course.
Great golf
Great golf for the golf now price. You can’t hit a bucket of balls for cheaper
Solid course for cheap
Play here when i get called off of work. Can play for $12 during the week and usually not crowded at all. Can really work on your game here playing solo rounds. Friendly staff. Great deal for less than $15.
100% Worth It!
For the price you pay, this course is awesome. If you casually play golf and want somewhere with a reasonable layout - this is it. Greens were in good shape and course surroundings are very nice. 2 pins at each hole and as a little weird but still very fun.
Good place for some practice!
Pretty decent (9) hole course with (2) pin locations per hole. Not the longest course but if you tend to hit wayward shots, you WILL be in trouble, especially the beginning holes. Greens were recently aerated but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they are usually good. Pace of play was great, was able to finish (9) holes in under an hour (single player at 10am, Saturday). One thing I would like to see is a taller flagstick or some kind of pin location marker for the 9th hole. If you're hitting from the back tees, you cannot see the green (drivable green for long hitters)! I would certainly come back to work on parts of my game but this course wasn't as thrilling/challenging as other places I've played.
Nice course to get in some practice!
Pretty decent, all around course. Only 9 holes but does have (2) pin locations per hole, so you can play the other flag for the "back 9". Greens were recently aerated, making putting an issue, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they are usually good. Pace of play was also great, finished 9 in under an hour (single player @ 10am). Not a very long course but if you hit wayward shots, you WILL lose your ball. I'd come back to sharpen up parts of my game but it wasn't an exciting/challenging course for me.
Heritage Creek Reviee
The course is challenging with big undulating greens. For the average golferthe course plays harder than you would think. You really can pay the price for wayward shots. It is a nice golfing experience.
Best bang for the buck
9 holes of golf
Some of the tee boxes are a little rough but overall the course is in good shape.
FYI it takes a good 5 minutes cart drive to the first hole and another 5 minutes to get back to the parking lot. Figure that in when planning to play.
Tee Times Are Useless
Checked in around 9:30am for a 10:10 tee time. I didn’t know if traffic would be bad (20 mi) so figured early was good. Gentleman sent me off immediately so I figured it was dead. And it was ok for the first three holes. Then I hit the traffic jam toward hole 5. By hole seven, we had 2 foursomes, 2 twosomes, and two singles stacked up waiting to tee off. Waited about 10 minutes before I had enough. I realized the foursome who already teed off were only about halfway down the fairway. It seemed like they had all taken 3-4 strokes at that point. I decided to go around. Thank god. I played holes 8 and 9, went back to 7 where the last of the traffic jam was just teeing off. Greens were awful. Layout awful. Experience awful. Even though it was only $10, it felt like I paid $10 to get kicked in the nuts.
