Solid
For a little retirement community this is a solid course only total of 6000 yds from back tees but the challenging fairway makes this a quality and course .
Good little golf course
Did an outing this morning everything was good, course was in good shape. Will be back.
Good value
Fun little course. Good greens with a lot of ball marks that didn’t really affect putting. Driving range was closed. Fairways, rough, and tees could be better, but for less than 40 dollars this course is a great value
This course has some scenic views.
I did read some reviews about the clubhouse staff being rude. I would like to say that was not the case for me. The staff was awesome and explained everything to me before the round. I’ve played most of the courses around Dallas. I would say this course reminds me of the country courses on the far outskirts around DFW. It was small greens, short holes, and easy layout. It was perfect for a nice round. I mostly tee off with two iron and had wedge in hand for the approach shots. The greens were in great shape, the fairways were nice, and I had a few awesome views!
Almost great!
The course was a fun play. The tree lined fairway often made the fairways being reached a true challenge. We were bummed that the driving range was closed and were informed was never coming back as this was a selling feature of the course. We would play it again!
Great play for the money
Had a great time. Course is well kept. Green in excellent condition. 85% of fairways were excellent but others had a little too much weeds. Even though the fairways were cut nicely, the weedy parts were disappointing. I would highly recommend this course.
Good course
Good course for the price and friendly staff. Lined with housing so accuracy is important.
I love Holiday Island
Holiday Island is a somewhat challenging course with tree lined fairways. Irons off of the teebox is probably your best choice. Scenic, great greens.
Lost in the Fairway, Bring Extra Balls
Overall, the course was fun and in good shape. The biggest issue is that you need to bring plenty of balls. Hit directly in the middle of the fairway and you may never find your ball again. I have no idea where they went. Part of it could be the steep slopes on some holes, or the ball hits something over the hill that you can’t see or some magical creature simply takes the ball from sight. I lost several balls right in the middle of the fairways and even more from having no idea where they went over the hills. Use the balls that you would normally use for water since they will most likely disappear as easy as hitting in the middle of a lake. Greens were in great shape, the sand bunkers were hard and not much sand making them easy to get out of or the ball would simply bounce out.
I would play this course again as it was fun and the neighborhood around it was really well kept. My apologies to the few owners that were on the bad end of a bad shot. The staff were very nice and helpful and they have an EXCELLENT breakfast menu. Delish!
Good course near Eureka Springs
Enjoyed two rounds at Holiday Island.
Fairways had some bare spots. Some rough was ball deep clover. Greens nice. Layout fun except for a few holes where faiway slope fed ball into trouble. GolfNow can sometimes beat non-resident rate. Would play again.
