Red Hawk Golf Club

The course plays well, great driving range to warm up before round.

We played at noon and were matched up with a couple of young guys. A very interesting course with large undulating greens protected by lots of deep bunkers. And of course there were lots and lots of DEEP fairway bunkers as well! Course was in great shape, as it is December! Only drawback we encountered was some of the bunkers had quite a bit of water in them and some appeared to be damaged by water. We just took a drop and played on. Overall pretty impressed with the course, it played tuff but quite enjoyable. Will definitely come back. Never stopped after the round for a beer, but will make time next round!

I have played this course for five years. It is in the worst condition I have seen. The greens are horrible, when making new holes the old holes are either quarter inch below the rest of the putting surface or crowned. There are bare areas throughout the course fairways . Since fairways were aerated, plugs, are still left in the fairways, or where the fairway is bare, It’s simply clumps of a mud. Bunkers, are hard pan, lots of large rocks, that you would not want to hit with your club, other times piles of debris. This club continues to raise its rates, and will again in the beginning of the year. Let’s hope they put some of those fees into their groundskeeping program.

The beautiful tee markers have been stolen and replaced with chunks of 2 x 6 with the attempt of wood burning a Hawk on top.

FYI - very few players on the course makes Place of play excellent.

Very friendly helpful staff, quality bent grass greens and a challenging layout.

playing summer rules can be a bit tough when ball settles in a low/dirt spot between tufts…oh well, rub of the green 😳

Although there were some difficult holes, it is a great challenge for the average player. Course was in good shape. If it hadn't been for the wet weather, we would have played better, but still a fun course.

Only determent is the sand traps

They need to rototill to loosen up the sand

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They answer all your questions and the starter gave us a lot of helpful information about the course layout etc. The course was really a challenge, but very enjoyable to play. When we come back to the area, we will play it again, hopefully it won't rain on us.

Red Hawk is a wonderful golf course and can play is tough as you have game. With five sets of tees and the tips at almost 7600 yards don't worry about about using all your clubs. Always a pleasure and try to there once a week.
