Red Hawk Golf Club

Its really amazing how the course conditions have went from lush just a month ago. Now the only thing that are decent are the greens. They ate still recovering from fall areation. The fairways and roughly are awful at best. Sand trapssuck. As usual we had a clueless course marshal drive right into the group while we were teeing off. No apology from him. Totally clueless. Course has stopped using the bag drop.

The fairways were in great shape, the greens were a little slow. The course lay out is challenging.

I have not played in a few weeks and when I played today I was surprised at the condition of the course. So many dead areas in the fairways and T-boxes and therefore lots of rough areas and clumps. This is the first time I have seen this condition.

This is a very fun course all the greens are very protected most helpful false fraud on the greens courses courses in great shape place long from the tips. The staff that works the bar is excellent Audrey took excellent care of us

The bunkers lack sand and were hard and had lots of rocks in them.

So my daughter and I played on Labor Day and were paired with another twosome. The guys were nice, but they were not quite good enough to play from the back tees. Needless to say, we fell a bit behind the twosome in front of us. On the 5th hole, the course ranger comes up to us, and specifically came to me and my daughter, who is a Senior in High School and has played all 4 years on her school team. She is not fantastic, but she usually shoots in the mid-80’s. He tells us we need to play faster. I tell him that ‘we’ are playing as fast as ‘we’ can. My daughter and I took offense that he thought it was her that was playing slow. Needless to say, I won’t be spending money at RedHawk anymore.

Haven't been to my favorite Las Cruces golf course since June, and what a difference a couple of months makes.

Looks like they are over-watering. Lots of mushy tee boxes, torn up fairways, wet traps. I don't think anybody's repairing their ballparks anymore, I fixed at least 4 per green myself. There are cart tracks all over the place - As it carts rolled thru toxic chemicals and then killed the grass as they passed.

Worst of all, there is a "No Carts in the Parking Lot" rule in place now. Really makes it a pain to get ready to go - It's even worse when you're tired after the round.

Best layout in town by far and course rating is now where it should be!

Even with all the rain this course played exceptional.

Green are extremely hard but playable. Just stay out of the numerous sand traps

Even though it was raining, I truly loved my afternoon of golf!!
