First Impressions are not always right

This is a fantastic course.. My first visit and review was tainted by the pace of play and number of players. It took me a while to go back out as we just moved to the area in March. I have been back several times and this is by far the best experience in the area. To the course and staff I apologize for my first review, it was all about that particular day.

Red Hawk Golf Outing

Every time I travel to El Paso on business, I make the effort to play Red Hawk in Las Cruces, NM. It is basically an hour away, so not a bad drive. It is always a treat to play this course!! The staff was very accommodating in getting me out earlier so that I could get back to EP to check out of my hotel and catch the flight back. I was teamed with 2 GREAT guys that I am sure we will stay in contact with, especially when one of them comes to Dallas and visits his brother. Couldn't be happier with the day, the course, the company, and the temperature. Very hot and humid where I am now! The dry air and 95 degrees feels pretty darn good, to me!

To Wet

This is a good course but was way to wet from over watering. At 10:00 am could still see standing water and cart in front of you the tires were rooster tailing. This was also on a golf tournament day.

Greens were excellent, rough was deep

Not much roll, as grass in the rough is deep, making 2nd shots difficult. No more cart delivery on arrival due to liability issues. Staff is very friendly.

Gem of Las Cruces

This is the course to play when working in the Las Cruces El Paso area. I find it challenging and requires thought to avoid the beach. The fairways are some of the best in the state. I find exceptional deals on Golf Now and have the course to myself during the week. Play Red Hawk before they finish the on course housing development as this will certainly change how the wind affects this course. Come to the desert!!!
