Poor maintenance
Hard as a rock grass, the only thing watered was the greens but even those were rough. Could be a really nice course, challenging holes with lots of hills and trees.
General play
Fairway was harder than concrete I actually broke a golf club at the handle because of it. $50 for 18 and not being able to tell the difference between fairway and rough is ridiculous. I will say this the staff is great and super nice the course is just not taken care off at all@Loyal Oak(First & Second)
Home course!
Absolutely love this course! Staff is absolutely awesome and the course is a beautiful play. I’ll always golf Lotal as long as they are open!
Terrible upkeep
They have let this place go! Fairways had more dirt spots than grass. Greens were torn up too
Terrible shape and Terrible etiquette
The fairways if you want to call them that are long grass in the places with grass or they are dirt, no in between. Tee boxes were all chewed up and rock hard. If I had to guess I would say the course hasn't seen water since the last rain. I chose a tee time based on seeing a lot of available times around it meaning it should be pretty open as a single I was planning a quick round. Drive up to the starter and told I am behind the 2some on the box who was waiting for a senior group of 4 who had a walker. I don't know the dynamics but I spent 4.5 hours behind both of them without any play thrus offered and was waiting every box. The 3some behind me even thought it was ridiculous. Never seen a course in this bad of shape this year. Had to land short every hole and pray it bounced straight and not some crazy sideways hop of the potholes which I had numerous times. Guess there's a reason why that was one of the few courses with a Fri morning tee time. Will not return unless I hear of considerable progress on the course.
Where is the cash going?
Course only takes cash and wonder where it is going from a course improvement perspective.
