the course was in good shape. Front 9 greens were slow (hadn't been cut) but back 9 were fast (had been cut). So, consistency was not good. Also, leaves were EVERYWEHRE. We are going through the leaf dropping stage, so have to give them some grace but they need to get on it. Should not lose balls in the fairway or just off of it. Overall, it was a good day and enjoyed the round.. Joey's Grill was excellent. Good service and GREAT food and drink.
Great deal for challenging course in great condition!
First off, Dawn is the best! She’s always willing to help and it’s nice to have consistency in the club house even if I don’t have any on the course. No wonder she’s an award winning pro. Next, the course conditions are great. Pace of play was good. Never felt pressured or hurried. Didn’t have to wait either. It’s challenging for a mid to high handicap player. Not all greens are visible on approach so read the card if it’s been a while since you played. I had forgotten where they were. For having not played in a while, I was happy to end the day under 100 lol. Finally, make sure to stay a while and have lunch at Joey’s! The food is excellent. I recommend any of the burgers, but the chili burger after 18 will put you to sleep! Love everything about The Greens. The staff, the clubhouse/food, and the course. Glad we’ve got such a nice course in Dogtown! Keep up the good work Dawn and her team! Thanks!
Not bad
Course was a little weird of a layout but it was still a fun course to play. The Red Tees we're so far forward that it made it way to short for ladies (but awesome when playing best ball... Lol)
I love the layout of the course.
I love the layout of this old school course. The greens where still sandy from aerification but rolled fairly well. I will be going back to play this course soon.
Good value
The course is in great condition. It’s packed into a surrounding neighborhood so some tees and greens are very close. The greens are small with lots of undulations. Worth the time to play
Worth the price.
Some rather odd holes but overall an interesting course and in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. Greens were very good and fairways were in good shape as well. Always enjoy it and a great value.
Hills on the Golf Course
There are no bunkers or water hazards on this golf course but still it’s a very challenging golf course due to changing elevations & trees. Fairways are not in excellent shape but greens are well-maintained & fast. Staff is very friendly.
Excellent Course
Just needs more grass in the fairways and around the trees.
Great course design and greens
Tight fairways, fast and interesting greens, blue and white tees fun, bar is great (beer and whiskey), fast play, and friendly staff.
