Great track
Great track, especially for the cost. Fairways are in great shape, greens are coming back great after being punched a couple weeks ago, a little on the slow side, but roll true. Highly recommend if you are in the area, or just looking for a new course to play.
Second time playing, even better than the first
This was my second time playing Quail Dunes. The course as in amazing condition, greens were playing great, staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and the pace of play was fantastic. I played with a local and we finished 18 in under three and a half hours.
Awesome course, great value.
This course is in great condition! Greens are true and blazing fast. Very receptive to approach shots. Fairways are in very good shape as well. Plenty long enough from the tips for those looking for a little more length (6500yds). Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Wonderful
Cons - I was a bit disappointed thdy did not offer a military or veteran discount.
Did not see the beverage cart
PROs - was equivalent to some courses we have played in the Carbondale CO area.
Nice layout
Nice grass fairways and greens
Course Upgraded
Had not played here since February 2024. Was very pleased to see clubhouse upgrades were complete with large dining area (both inside and outside) and new restrooms. The former parts of the cart paths which were unpaved now have asphalt paths which are very smooth, and a great improvement. Was also pleased that the clubhouse person sounded the horn (like on PGA tournaments) when dangerous weather was approaching - nice to see they were monitoring the weather on TV and weather apps. to take care of their customers. Many courses just indicate the weather is the players responsibility, which it is, but Quail Dunes went out of their way to help. Staff always friendly and course is well maintained. Saw 4 adult and 13 baby turkeys in one flock on the course, and heard many quail calling. Great Day!
Hidden Gem
This course is challenging from the tips and fun from the Blues. Offers a few drivable par 4’s, deceptive greens, and great views. Make sure you bring plenty of balls, mainly for the back nine, as you can lose them in the brush if you aren't careful.
Amazing Experience
My hubby and I drove out to see what other courses we could find. What a gem!!! My hubby played while I enjoyed being his "support". Also the gorgeous views and weather. It was his first time playing Quail Dunes- and definitely will NOT be the last. Our two boys are anxious to come out and play as well. Thank you for the hospitality and beautiful scenery. We will be sure to tell our friends and family.
Range Closed
The course isn’t a bad course at all. We booked our round, and drove an hour from Greeley to Fort Morgan. We got there an hour early to hit the driving range since it had been over a month since anyone in my group had played. Upon arrival we were told that the range is closed due to kids camp. There were multiple golfers in the pro shop that were upset hearing this, as most had driven at least an hour to play the course. While I am understanding to the range being closed for the kids, myself along with others whom I spoke with, checked the website and there was zero mention of the range being closed. Had they posted it, I wouldn’t had arrived so early. Unfortunately we just had to sit in our car and wait the hour as the course was busy and we couldn’t start early.
Don't Go On Wednesday Mornings!
We drive an hour from Denver to get there an hour early to warm up only to find BOTH the driving range and putting green are nor available due to a kids camp. No notice on the website!? Com'on guy! Think of who really pays the bills day to day and keep them informed. It's easy enough to out a banner on the website letting people know about this. Step up your cimmunication.
