Fort morgan
Outstanding course. Very good condition. Excellent layout with lot of elevation changes. No water hazards. No sand. You will have a nice time here. Won’t regret it.
Greens still have some winter kill that needs repaired
Goodtimes
This was my 4th time playing this course and the course was in the roughest shape I've seen it. The fairways were a little long and the greens needed some attention. I'm sure the dry and heat over the past month and the two tournaments they hosted have not helped any. The staff is friendly and all in all it is a great course. Can not wait to come back.
Greens generally roll nice. They’ve had winter kill on the majority of the greens and your ball rolls across dirt in those areas.
Nice course friendly staff. People are coming a long way to play this course due to the city courses being so crowded, which is starting to cause this course to be more crowded. Nice problem to have.
What a find for the buck
Got off a plane and went to play a course close to airport. Did not work out so we tried several others before finding Quail Dunes in Ft Morgan, about 1.5 hours east of the airport.
Staff was friendly, course was in excellent shape, and though I did not play well, it was not because of the course. Hit the ball well and this is a fair course. Spray it and you can get in trouble. Traps were very tough due to sand being wet, but greens were in good shape, though I personally like them a little faster. I would definitely play there again.
Always a good time
The course is pretty basic but is always taken care of and the staff are great. We really enjoy it.
Great Staff
It looks like their is a lot of construction going on at the club house, can't wait to see what is in store
Great small town course. I have payed 10 time more fore much less. I will definitely throw this into the rotation
Gem on the Plains
This was my first time at Quail dunes, playing it since it was listed on the Colorado golf, Passport. IT off around 11 AM, and the course was pretty wide-open, so I never encountered anyone in front of me or waiting on me for a piece of clay. I actually finished the round in two hours and 40 minutes.
Most of the front nine was a lot of out and back holes with the exception of seven through nine. The greens ,as well as the fairways were in very good condition, and with all the rain lately very green, and the rough was healthy, but not too healthy.
I must admit that I enjoyed the back nine more than that front nine, lots of elevated tee boxes, and good hole layouts.
It looked like the snack bar area hadn’t been open in a few months, possibly, so don’t go to the course hungry, as there was limited snacks, and drinks. I would gladly make the drive out the Fort Morgan from Denver again any time to play Quail dunes.
Also, the folks in the pro shop were extremely friendly and helpful with everything, see you guys next time.
Could have been better
The course was in okay shape. I thought for how much rain we got this year that the course/grass greens fairways would have been amazing, but that wasn’t the case. Fairways for the most part were pretty good, but the greens were pretty terrible IMO. You do get what you pay for thou…this place is cheap but fun. I doubt I’ll be going back this year thou.
best value for your dollar
A bit of a drive but you wont be disappointed. The staff is friendly and accomodating and the course is in great shape!
