Meadows Golf Club
About
Located in the Southwest Metro area, the golf course at the Meadows Golf Club has a links-style layout that provides a challenging and fun game for all golfers. The trio of Bradford Benz, J. Michael Poellot, and Richard Phelps designed this municipal, 18-hole course. It is just over 7,000 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is situated against the foothills of the Rockies, providing nice views along the course. The risk-and-reward layout of the course features water hazards and bunkers. Meadows Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3, 8th hole, which require a shot over water to a well-bunkered and extremely sloped green.

Terrible Conditions and Amenities
Most courses in Colorado suffered winter kill - it happens with the long, cold winter and snow that remained on the course longer than ususal. Every other course I've played in this area has made great strides to recover - The Meadows has not. Every single fairway has pretty significant dead spots and the majority of the greens and tee boxes. I'm shocked they charge their normal rates, they should be in 'maintenance mode' and charging until they recover. I spent the better part of the day upset about how poor the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in. Then, you throw in that the bathrooms in the clubhouse are disgusting and dilapidated. Try using one of the bathrooms on the course, they are the hole in the ground type (no running water), they (along with the port-a-potties) are completely full. I've never seen one full before - I can't believe they don't have a contract with someone to come empty them! To make matters worse, it was a 5-hour round and no sign of a marshal to move play along. I usually love playing here, I think it's a fun, challenging and interesting layout - but I won't be back anytime soon. Save your money and go elsewhere...
Horrible conditions
I have played this course many many times over the years and this was the worst shape I have ever seen it. The tee boxes were in bad shape, the fairways had no grass and the greens were horrible. I wanted to just leave but we kept thinking it would get better. Boy were we wrong. I don't know if the greenskeeper quit or what has happened. I have never been so disappointed playing a course. They should have paid ust to play the course!
No riding cart was available
When I got the golf course, the staff told me no riding cart is available today because the wet condition. I was disappointed that I was not notified about the no cart policy on the play day. The staff offered a push cart and I ended up using it. It was hard for me to walk the all 18 holes. If the golf course had notified me before arriving there, I could have prepared my own electric powered push cart.
If you could, please give some booking credit in my account. Thank you,
Great Track - or it will be once maintenance catches up
Really nice layout, shot making course. As others have noted, it’s in bad shape at this point in the year.
Terrible condition
This is one of my home courses and last year it was great. This year it’s in such bad shape that I won’t be going back.. The fairways and greens are unbearable. So disappointing
In recovery
Course conditions are suffering from our hard winter. Lots of bare ground in fairways. Greens not recovering very quickly from aeration. Hopefully predicted rains will kick it in growth gear. Can't help but wonder if allowing carts on the fairways in the winter caused the set back compared to other area courses. Parts of the course where carts are never allowed look much better.
Soooo Bad
I live 2 miles from this course and play it often. This is the first Time out this season and I can’t believe how bad the course conditions are. The fairways, tee boxes, and greens are in horrible shape. Probably won’t be back this year. Such a shame as last fall It was in great condition.
Course not ready for play
Course was in terrible condition. I would wait until later in the summer to play again.
Course is not in good condition.....Very dry!
Unfortunately, the course was very dry......not worth playing yet.....certainly not for $60. Very disappointing.
Most tee boxes were very dry and some chewed up pretty bad.
The fairways were pretty dry too.....fairways had a lot of dry spots....some with no grass.....had to hit 2nd shots from dirt sometimes. The greens were in better shape.
What the heck has happened to Meadows?
I have played this course since it opened, even worked a couple seasons there many years ago on the grounds crew and never, never have seen it in such bad overall shape. Most the greens were terrible, as were the fairways and rough. A few times saw "ground under repair" signs. The whole course needs repair!
Fun course and just hand with the early season conditions
Always a good course for me for the price point, conditions May 1 after a long winter were fine and just be aware. Front 9 was a bit rougher, back 9 was better, pace fast fast, nice chipping area, all good and another decent day at The meadows
Slow with no Rangers
It was 3 hours to play 9 holes. Course was in really bad shape from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Will be 2-3 months before they can fix all that is wrong. I went to ask for a rain check and the guy inside started yelling and raising his voice at me because I wanted to deal directly with the pro shop vs having to call golf now. I did not raise my voice at him once, he was very rude it was sad there were no rangers or Marshall’s on a Saturday when pace of play is at its worst. Between customer service and pace of play and course condition I’ll probably never go back.
Early season
Early season conditions were rough. Some of the greens were in rough shape. Front 9 pace was 2 hrs 36 min and back 9 was 1 hr 45 min after two groups in front of us quit. Fun course layout and worth the play when it’s in good condition.
Poor condition
I played yesterday and today. The course is in terrible condition. This is one of my all time favorite courses. But from tbox to the greens it’s all in bad shape.
WRONG TIME OF THE YEAR
Nice lie out, but to early in spring…green aeration & bunker being optimized, with burn grass still in play in approach… is not a first pick to take!!
