White, 2nd, par-3, 226. Playing downhill from an elevated tee, this is what a good par-3 should be. Big, frontal bunkers are hidden from view here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

White: 5th, par-5: My favorite hole rolls as if it’s part of a links and affords a view of Hueblein Tower, 165 ft tall, atop the hill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

Red, Second; Par 4, 309. This dogleg left hole finishes at an elevated and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

Red, 7th: Par 3, 201. Threats are presented by a bunker right, big pine tree left (unseen here), and--if you slice it, a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

White, 8th, par-5, 600. Fair enough from tee to green, eight turns downright ornery around the green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

Ba ba bad to the bone (dry)
Friendly helpful staff all around. Greens are in good shape! However....both tees and fairways are suffering from heat and lack of water. Hard as a rock. Hard to get tees into ground and the fairways were just as hard on every hole. I think I had about an 80 yard roll on one drive. Best to wait until conditions improve.
Enjoyable day
My wife and I booked 18-holes thru GolfNow.com. Wew were greeted in a friendly manner and told that we could tee off whenever we were ready. Course was very burnt out from lack of rain but pace of play was excellent (18 holes in just under 3 hours). Well worth the money that we paid.
Totally Dried Out
No watering on the fairways and tees left this course
brown and dry. Hard to get tee in the ground, but drives went on forever. Area around the greens and the greens themselves were fine as they were watered. Not a bad place to play if it was green.
So dry and hard
Greens very rough. Fairways are like cart paths. After the round I played not only would I not pay to play here again, you couldn’t pay me to play here.
Dry Hard Fairways
We were warned before hand that the fairways were a little dry in spots. That was a big understatement. Every fairway was rock hard and 70% brown. It was impossible to get tees down to the desired length in the tee boxes. I broke a few tees trying.
The greens and the immediate area around them were in decent shape, as well as the bunkers.
It's a decently designed course with some challenging holes, but only worth the money if you catch a good deal. Full price doesn't feel justified.
Used to be better
Played on a Saturday afternoon, and pace of play was quick for a Saturday. Probably because the course is bone dry, and for some reason the kitchen closed before 6:00 PM. We saw the beverage cart once on the front nine, and couldn’t get anything once we hit the back nine. The course itself is nice, but it’s not in very good shape. I’ve played this course in prior years, and it was in much better shape.
Great value
Excellent course at a fair price. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Course is reasonable length
Big hitters will find this course underwhelming, bunkers could use some work - first sign of lagging maintenance, fun to play for below average hitter,
Fine course
Course was in excellent condition. Unfortunately the weather man was incorrect again. Played through 2 down pours & quit after 14 holes (3rd down pour). Well worth the money
Course was in excellent condition? Are you serious? The worst course I've ever seen.
needs maintenance
Played this course some ten years ago. As I remember years ago, it was in great shape. Time has taken its toll on the course and surroundings. Parking lot cratered. Bridges and buildings deteriorating. Overgrowth and trim neglected. fairways drying out and brown...most courses in CT green and lush. Some greens beginning to deteriorate. First golf cart I tried died in the parking lot...had to switch. Bunkers mostly weeds, pebbles and hardpan....very little if any sand. So sad to see a premier course after ten years of neglect. Only saviour was the Golf now hot deal for $25.
Above Average Public Course
Course was very well kept. The carts need to be replaced as they are clearly past their prime. The service at the facility was good. Overall worth the money.
Blue Fox Run
Course has playable/enjoyable senior tees, despite rainy spring course is in excellent condition
Great course & great staff
We try to play there a few Sundays a month. The course is usually in great shape and the staff is always friendly.
Shabby
Not well maintained. Cart paths heavily rutted. Swamp like conditions in some places. Greens aren’t very green. The good news: doesn’t cost much. One gets what you pay for.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry you didn't have a positive experience with us. We will make sure this gets passed to the appropriate teams so we can improve moving forward.
Hello Shabby, thank you for your review. Our mission, everyday, to achieve the high standards that you are expecting at Blue Fox Run,. After many heavy rainfalls this spring, the course became extremely saturated in many areas and we apologize for this. These areas are now dry and ready for play. We are pleased to say the course is in great condition and we look forward fo seeing you soon and enjoying our well maintained course!
