Nice course to hone your skills.
the course has a nice layout, tight fairways and short yardage for the most part. Beautiful scenery. The tee boxes are a little rough, but due to the wet weather we have been having it is understandable.
On short holes the reeds block the view of the hole and flag. It serves no purpose other than to make it a blind shot. The difficulty is not enhanced in anyway. Some trimming there and on other holes would look and play better. All in all, and I've been playing there for many many years, it is a nice course to play.

Fun Cornish Layout
In previous reviews, I’ve said about all that I can think of about the layout, so here are a few subjects for comment today:
CONDITIONING: Good.
A breakdown: greens excellent; fairways very good overall; around-the-greens decent; tees average overall. The one weakness, again the result of last year’s drought, is that the roughs haven’t fully recovered--they’re spotty in places.
COURSE MANAGEMENT: Once again the course Marshal John (J.G.) was outstanding.
He goes out of his way to help players and does his job the way all marshals should (but don’t always). I left my nine iron on the first; he volunteered to go back and see if someone had picked it up. I had it back on the fifth tee. Incredible service, but that is the norm for J.G. He’s helpful in many other small ways that exceed expectations.
The pace was on the slow side today (though not bad), but some of this was due to wetness after the hurricane remnants yesterday (heavy rains resulted in a lot of casual water) along with Minnechaug apparently taking overflow from a canceled tournament somewhere else.
WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS: A deer (see picture) on fairway three; three rabbits near tee seven; a very large egret at hole eight on the side of the island green before it took flight; Canadian geese on nine. Not bad.
AT THE FRONT DESK: The young lady at check-in was another credit to the organization and professional: informed, organized, and informative.
PLAYING THE COURSE: Fun as always. Joined up with two personable playing partners--a couple and Golf Now members--who enjoy playing a wide variety of courses, as I do.
Minnechaug is a golfer-friendly course that suits a wide range of handicaps. It’s well-managed and smoothly run; moreover, it continues to impress every time I play it.
It’s value: nothing short of excellent.

Great course to play
This a nice course we play at if we want to play a quick 9 holes. The course is maintained well. The ranger helps move the slower players along. The course has an island green which is fun to hit to.

Rain shorted play
Made it to the second hole before a thunderstorm came. The girl working the pro shop came and got us and even got us a refund! They’re great. I’ll be back to finish my round for sure
