At this excellent par-4, the third fairway curves around a large pond, a threat to both drive and approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

One. 354-yard par four. The 13-index opens things up somewhat gently, yet the green is well-bunkered. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Three, par-4, 423. The hole plays downhill but to a tight landing zone guarded by the pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Seven, par-3, 249. It’s easy to see why this is the toughest three-par on the golf course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Eighth. This long 5-par (579) is open enough for swinging away from the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Ridiculously Slow
Sunday morning plss as y is always slow, but this was painful. 2 people behind 4 so expected delays, but should have know an issue when 2 people off first t hit 2 balls each. Then continue doing so. People should learn golf rules of play. Third hole, player literally hit 2 balls into water, Walks slowly to cart 25 yards away, then back to spot. And hits 2 more balls into water.
1 whole hole open in front after 5 Holes.
Inconsiderate people.
Guess not the courses fault but they really stacked them up. I left after 9 when hit 10 hole and there was 3 groups waiting.
Long Way To Go
Played this course after hearing new management took over. New Carts are a plus and the course is starting to get cleaned up which is promising. With that said...it has a long way to go and hope it turns it around. However there are things that troubling.
Either golfers playing this course sorely lack etiquette or the club's maintenance is neglectful. More pock marks and divots in any green I've seen. Your ball bounces and hops to the hole on 14/18 greens. Sand traps under maintenance but no raking? Tee boxes were horrendous but could be end of the season.
Club let a 3-4 Foursomes go out and play a scramble...yet the guys are playing their own balls? (talked to the guys who said they were playing a scramble). Longest round of golf maybe I've played (5.5 hours). No Rangers enforcement here. If the club caters to 15-20 people, not promising for integrating with locals. Facilities pretty beat up but ownership could turn that around quickly.
Played Sat & Sun there as I booked late. $40/round thru Golf now $25 for a cart on Sat. $40/round direct and $15 for a cart. I asked why they charged me $25 yesterday, guy says that's the way it is...Not a great way to try to drum up public interest.
Overall, not worth the time/cash in current state.
Hi, TTO2014. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Laurel View Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Best condition in a long time
Played as first person out. The course was in overall very good condition- greens were best, fairways pretty good, tee boxes so-so (but this is least important). Of all the times I played, this was the best condition. Hole 18 was a pleasant surprise - the large tree that was blocking the left side of the fairway has been cut down! Makes the ending hole much more pleasurable to play.

New ownership issues
We had a tee time for a foursome through Golfnow and had it prepaid. Once we arrived at the course we were told that there is new ownership and that the price would not apply with a cart and if thats an issue he suggested we review golfnow so they fix the pricing. He said he would do us a favor by allowing us to rebook through him for an additional $100 for the foursome. Due to it being a weekend with the boys all over the country we ate the cost and still played. Awful pace of play. Nice course however. Unfortunately due to the Customer DISSERVICE we will not be returning (local residents) as there are plenty of options locally with friendlier staff.

Getting better
The course was in much better shape than I was expecting based on the other reviews. Most of the bunkers are not in good shape but you can tell they are working on that with a few of them featuring brand new sand. Greens and fairways were in good shape, the layout is a good challenge and I will definitely return.
Hello, u000004782827. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Lots of work being done
Sand slowly being added to barren bunkers. New pavement in many spots. New carts. Many machines clearing out brush and trees. Really rooting for them to make this course great again.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, u000007445025. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Laurel View Country Club.

The layout is challenging. The greens are super soft & furry. The course itself looks pretty beaten up. With some $$$ spent to bring the course back it could be a great great track.

Continue improvement efforts, especially cart paths, no reason this course could be 4 or even 5 stars.

Improved
I have played here three times now. The first two times I wasn’t impressed, I even left a bad review after the second time after a frustrating round. However in the last few months, they have greatly improved the course. The greens, although on the slower side, were in great condition and were constant through all 18 holes. The bunkers have been improved upon greatly as well. They still need work, but are better than before. Some tee boxes need some work as well. Overall, they have done a nice job improving the conditions. If they keep this up, I’ll be playing here more often!

Recent storm(Isaias) reeked havoc!
Back nine was a mess. Front nine grass was high and the cut grass was left piled up w/o cleanup. The crew obviously can’t keep up the upkeep!

Classic course good value
A classic course. Some traps not maintained and rough and fairways are not in great shape, but greens are good, layout is challenging and price is good.
