At this excellent par-4, the third fairway curves around a large pond, a threat to both drive and approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

The fifth is a long par-4 that plays downhill from a high tee, then on towards this sprawling green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Looking downhill over the long par-5 eighth, which may provide a birdie opportunity if you strike it well from tee to green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Ten: This par-4 is a terrific ‘target’ styled hole that culminates on a plateau green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

Fourteen: Par-5, 480. An outstanding risk-reward proposition whose green can be hit in two. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

The last pic I took today was of one of LV’s avid regular players, here putting out at the first. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

One. 354-yard par four. The 13-index opens things up somewhat gently, yet the green is well-bunkered. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021
-
Three, par-4, 423. The hole plays downhill but to a tight landing zone guarded by the pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021
-
The 492-yard, par-5 fifth is tempting for big hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021
-
Seven, par-3, 249. It’s easy to see why this is the toughest three-par on the golf course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021
-
Eighth. This long 5-par (579) is open enough for swinging away from the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021
-
Sixteen will require your best drive to this tight, dog-legging fairway. The second shot is no picnic, either. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Golfer Reviews
Hot deal
Have played here many times before. Was able to get a hot deal during the middle of the week. Showed up early due to rain in the forecast and he wonderful woman at the front let us tee off early to beat the weather. Course is under new ownership and conditions are gradually improving.
Decent course for practice, good value
LV is in good shape for a course that gets a lot of play. Some playersdon't show much etiquette, leaving large divots unattended. The layout is quirky, with some holes leaving you scratching your head (6, 10, 11, 18). Not my first choice but close to New Haven and a good online value.
No staff to be had
We played on a Monday and no one had emptied garbage at course anywhere! It was spilled over into grounds at several places!
Traps were non existent, no staff other then person you bought ticket from.
Hole layout is ok and greens are in pretty good condition .
Great course for the money
I booked the night before and got a super hot deal. It had rained the day before but the course was nice and dry. Fairways and greens were in good condition. I think they could move the tee boxes around more often for the par 3s but other than that I have no complaints. I will be playing there again soon.
Underwhelming
Had an ok round booked fine in advance the price was ok for what I payed but the course and the staff I found lacking the pace of play felt like they were allowing anyone to go out at any time and I felt like the staff wasn't very knowledgeable and I just find the course as a whole dirty and unkept from the club house to the greens.. it has a nice layout with some challenging holes and some easy ones but i find the expirence lacking I played once before last year and thought I'd give it another try but most likely will not book again unless it's back down below 10$ and have no where else to play
Go some where else
These are the poorest kept greens I've ever played in my life. The course is nice and woodsy. Some of the holes par ratings make no sense. The cart was terrible. Honestly I don't think I would ever Golf here again unless they make some major changes. It's honestly not worth $30 for 18 holes with a cart with so much competition in the area.
Tee Time Mix Up
Played on 5/28...
I booked my Golfnow tee time for a single player the day before. Got to the course early to stretch and putt. Was summoned back to the pro shop to discuss a problem. Starter took a reservation from a gentleman and his 3 grandsons. Starter heard 3, and made a tee time for 3, leaving a single spot open which I took. Problem was that the grandfather showed up making it a 4some.
Matt in the pro shop sent me off the back, which was great b/c I finished that 9 in 65 minutes.
Problem was that when I made the turn, there was nothing but 4somes on the tee so there was no place to put me.
Matt did the right thing by giving me a voucher for a free round with cart (no restrictions/no expiration date)...but I still only played nine holes that day.
A little rough around the edges but for $20 Hotdeal can't beat it
A course in need of repair
This is our local home course. The design of the course is fabulous. Because of management neglect many issues are needed to be addressed.
For early season it was in good shape. The pro shop staff was great. Course does not have enough carts.
Greens will need work as well as sand traps. Fairways were great but cartpaths a wreck
If the management did invest money and effort it could bring this course back the great shape it once was!
Good track for the $$
I like this Course , I've played it a few times with my son. He attends a local University and It's a perfect location for us.
The views are nice, It's not too difficult but can be a challenge .Keeping in mind it was certainly off-season and it was extremely understaffed, the Course was not up to speed yet.
The course itself needed some more attention but considering that the winter flags were still up I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and I'm hopefully that they will work over the month of May to improve on the conditions.
That being said, the Clubhouse ( restaurant was not up and running yet), in particular the men's bathroom was horrible. There is no excuse to open a Course and charge a full rate, we paid $ 35/player 18 holes with cart through golfnow, and then to not have a clean clubhouse bathroom as well as none available on the Course.
I will go back and I hope that some of these items will be corrected.
No maintenance being done
There is minimal maintenance being done to this beautiful course. A real shame.
unsatisfied golfer
The course was definitely not kept up at all. Our cart got stuck at one point. The driving path is all torn up it seems by bobcat machines so we had to drive on the grass a lot. We waiting 2 hours to play from the tee time we signed up for since the clubhouse did not have enough carts for the amount of golfers they booked themselves. There were about 9 groups waiting for carts which is ridiculous. They didnt give a discount or refund for the inconvenience besides free range balls. Which was a problem because if you left and went to hit balls whoever stayed in the clubhouse ended up taking your golf cart even though your tee time was prior than there's. I will most likely never go back since what we experience was not professional and the course was not kept up. The clubhouse is extremely run down and old and the women's bathroom had 1/4 of a toilet paper roll for 4 stalls--- disgusting. I would definitely not recommend it to other golfers or friends.
Not in shape
Although it was start of season, not cleaned up. Have played other courses with good conditions. Twigs throughout fairways, greens not so great. I would almost say it wasn't worth the money--for couple more $ you can play a course in much better condition. However, I will give them another try.
dog track
This course must have been fantastic at some point in its history but is no longer. Tee boxes were half bare, sand bunkers were basically dried mud, cart paths were chopped up and dangerous to negotiate. That leaves the greens and they were terrible. This was sad to see. Hopefully a facelift is in its future.
Course is long and very hilly. Especially with the winds it makes it a very tough course. We waited over an hour for a cart and teed off about an hour and a half late. The staff did not seem to care at all that we had been waiting. However, once we got out there the pace of play was very good. The ball bounced on the green while putting and the fairways were not cut very well.
its very early in the season so the greens were a bit hairy, very nice muni course. management need to spend some money on the traps
