Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Great test of golf skill
Great staff and overall good time. The greens were beat up by players and there were tons of unrepaired ball marks, but it was an excellent time overall
No sand in the bunkers
This was a nice course, especially the tee boxes and greens. The fairways were in good condition. The bunkers were horribly maintained and hand rocks and dirt in them. I would like to see more sand instead of hitting out of dirt. Some of the cart path was missing in parts and that would lead you to a dirt/rock cart path which I feel is not proper etiquette for a golf course. Also, the clubhouse was on the bottom of the building and in the back...what's up with that? I was so confused when I first arrived. The staff was very friendly and treated me with respect which I was very appreciative of.
Glad the staff was very friendly and able to assist you. We are aware of some of the bunker conditions and we price accordingly.
Laurel View is back
Laurel View apparently has turned the corner. The course is in the best shape in years.
I only wish they would go with different color flag sticks to define the hole.
Approach shots into multi tiered greens is difficult not knowing flag colors.
We hooked up with 2 other players and had a wonderful time.
Long course bring your A game.
Laurel View is happy to hear that your view on our course has changed for the better and that you enjoyed the twosome you were paired up with!
Would play again!
Interesting course and enjoyed the experience. For the most part the course was in good shape however, the power carts were in need of updating and repair. I would also like to see a little more sand in the traps.
Pro shop is no more than a place to register..
Back 9 is much narrower and requires more accurate placement of tee shots.
I would return and play again.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your experience with Laurel View CC. We are aware of the power cart situation so we appreciate the feedback! We will be happy to have you back!
Great Experience
The course was very in great condition staff was great very pleasant pace of place was good overall great experience .going back on Tuesday looking forward to it
Wow to see that you had such a great overall experience that you are coming back on Tuesday couldnt make Laurel View CC happier!
Good Value for the price we paid
We got a really good rate. Rough was a little too long. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens, fairways and tees were all in average to good condition. The course needs capital improvements like upgraded carts and cart paths. Bunkers need more sand and better care. Beginning golfers will struggle as there are a lot of water hazards and narrow fairways. Interesting design for the better player.
Glad you enjoyed the design of the course and found a daily special when booking online. We are in the process of making improvements and appreciate your feedback. Please email me directly to find out more about your round at carlyteetimes@gmail.com
Skip
I know things are rocky and the deal was unbeatable but an hour and twenry minute delay because there were no carts...?
Our apologies for the wait you experienced during your round. Please email me directly to discuss further at carlyteetimes@gmail.com
Better Than Expected
Based on previous reviews and the poor record of the course management (MDM) with other courses they managed, we were pleasantly surprised with the course conditions. Overall the fairways and greens were in good condition for this early in the season and the sand traps now have sand in them.
Although the tee boxes needed seeding and leveling, I'll give them a break as was the beginning of the season and there has been no rain in 3 weeks.
The course is long and hilly and riding was a very good choice. Each tee box has a granite hole marker with an engraved hole map and yardages. We did find the yardages off verses the scorecard and our GPS's. Despite the wooded terrain the fairways are wide, the greens relatively flat and true and without tricky pin placements. Be advised to ask where the pins are placed as there are no color-coded flags to indicate front-middle-back. They use a number system (1-2-3).
There are some blind shots, especially #3 where a surprise pond guards the left side of the fairway. Splash! We used all are clubs and scored well despite a lack of course knowledge.
The on-course maintenance staff was very friendly. They stopped mowing while we were hitting and even told us were our errant balls were.
We had a few glitches, however. The golf cart had power issues and we had to tack across some fairways to get up some of the steeper hills. We notified the pro shop employee but he just nodded. Some of the ball washers were out of water and a box for broken tees would be a nice touch. Finally, we planned to stop for a beer but the grill was deserted and didn't look inviting.
We plan on playing here again.
Glad to hear to exceeded your expectations and you will be returning to give the course another try! We appreciate your pointers as well
Fun Round at Laurel View
Got paired up with 3 nice guys. The course is in good shape and we played in 4 hrs. The greens are the best I have played on so far this year.
Nice to hear you enjoyed the group you were paired up with and pace of play!
Rocky Road!
This was my home course for 2 golf seasons, as I lived in town. I played fHad short shot and realized after hitting my ball was nestled up on tip of a rock, resulting in damage to my 9 iron. Hole number 11 should be closed or demolished. There will be a major cart accident much sooner than later.. As for difficulty, I paid one over tow the right and then hit a beebee all way over on right. Ended up finding ball on cartpath on right. Got par there but lucky. If you played by rules, a 10 might be average score. Enough here. Too many accident traps. Track could be outstanding, but if offered free golf for year, I would not go. Matt ((pro) was engaging and did his job. This course needs work because it could be a gem.
our apologies for the round you had. Glad you enjoyed the friendliness of our staff but please email me directly to discuss offline at carlyteetimes@gmail.com
no water coolers/ beverage cart
This was my first time back to laurel view in 6 years and I must say aside from the bunkers being full of large rocks and no sand the conditions were fair. Greens roll true and fairways in good shape. It was humid and almost 90 degrees and amazingly the course had no water coolers and no beverage cart. I can't imagine how much money the course lost not selling snacks or beverages on course! Tough walk on back nine made worse by lack of water. Do not recommend walking 18.

Laurel View
Laurel View this time of year offers a fair deal and price at this time of yea(April).
Thanks for playing our course at the beginning of the season and we hope to see you back more!
Wish the carts were still there
Walked 18 on friday and my only issue was with the fact I had to walk. Hopefully they can get the carts back soon, the rumors about the carts are kinda scary, I played with 3 residents who were not happy with the courses situation. Now I have all the gossip
We appreciate your patience and we should be offering riding tee times soon!
green better then most
the course is in good shape considering the winter past. Greens were not bad even wth them having small arieation holes, speed compared to others that i have played this early season. Easy walk on the front but considerably harder on the back.
Thanks for playing our course early in the season. We hope to see you again throughout the season!
Avoid the Bunkers
Greens and fairways were in very good shape for the time of year. I play this course all the time and there are a few things that REALLY need to be improved. 1) the bunkers: There is no playing out of them even at the height of the season. They are more pebbles and packed dirt than sand. 2) The ladies tees are never in very good shape. At least not all of them. Not on flat ground. Some have deep ruts in them. 3) The locker/restrooms could use some updating. Not a huge deal but I would feel more comfortable using it if it were freshly painted and appeared to be cleaned more frequently. For example: the entrance to the ladies facilities from the practice area has "Ladies Locker Room" handwritten on the door in Sharpie.
I like the course. It's convenient and reasonable priced. The staff is polite, though the pro shop could use some updated merchandise.
We appreciate all of your feedback and glad you enjoy the course
Nice layout
This is a. Great course for the price at golf now, no clue on the summer rates. The person at the front desk is very friendly and they also make sure no one jumps ahead of you when ur making the turn toward the 10th. Overal a nice layout.
Nice place
Enjoy the course. Well designed and in decent shape for the fall
Glad you enjoyed your round! Come back to Laurel View sonn
Neglect
I enjoy the course but it needs work. Where is the F&B service? Sand traps should be called stone traps, cart paths are a mess, It's a 5 minute ride from my home so this is why I play here but when I ask my friends to join me they decline because the overall upkeep has gone downhill and there are many other local courses that offer a better experience. Hopefully in 2015 we see some improvmement
You will use all the clubs in your bag
a must play, will improve your game. sand traps need some work
Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your round!!
You get what you pay for
This is the cheapest golf in the area and therefor you get a number of players who are beginners or non-players. This slows things up and can wreck your scoring...and to make matters worse there were no rangers for the Sat afternoon we playe. It was evident some had purposely damaged the greens (bashede it with their club). Overall though the course was in good shape and it's an interesting track to play. The staff were nice but they just need more help.
Glad you enjoy the layout of the course but our apologies for the pace of play you experienced. Please contact me directly for a make up promo code at carlyteetimes@gmail.com
