Fairways in good shape. The rough is very playable. Easy to locate ball if goes in tree line. The greens are slow and firm.

played here when it was rookery north. 100% improvement. Course condition excellent. Staff is excellent. Food and beverage top notch.

Most courses in the area need a ranger, pace of play is awful!

I love playing SDGC. As the course continues to improve I’m finding it very playable and fun.

Third time playing SDGC. Glad to see a lot of tree maintenance (which is a rarity for a lot of public courses anywhere!). A lot of flowers and general landscaping as well. Tee boxes are sanded/seeded so you're not avoiding ruts on the par 3's. Course layout is good (exception is on hole 10 alongside the driving range-a lot of range balls find their way onto the fairway for this hole, perhaps a higher net along this hole?)

Pace of play is good as well as course layout (you're not forced to worry about opposing tee box activity coming your way).

A very good course at an excellent price (and close to home as well!). I will be playing here regularly (each time I got a great deal on GolfNow as well). Plus a brand new brew pub/restaurant right next door, nice driving range with a few electronic bays, as well as some other additions under construction.

I have played Southern Delaware Golf Club two times in the past 10 days. It is clear that management is pumping money into the property. The course is quite scenic, with lots of trees and several lakes/ponds. The course conditions are very good overall. The greens are a bit slower than most but they look fantastic. Pace has been good both days. Staff is friendly. I have not had an opportunity to eat at the restaurant yet but plan to do so soon. Overall, I am very pleased to have this course in my rota.

I never played this course before as I recently relocated to Delaware. I booked a tremendous deal for $29 on a 1 o'clock play and found the course to be well. Taken care of. I saw active tree maintenance being done which is something you rarely see in courses so I don't think this course will have any issues with overgrown trees, broken limbs, etc. After the round there's a nearby big oyster brewery right on the course which was top shelf as well I see they'll be offering pickle ball at one point in the future as well. It seems to be a very well run and well-thought-out operation and I will definitely be back.

Course had the front 9 closed for tree removal. Would have been nice to know that BEFORE checking in. So we got to play the back 9 twice. Imagine the fun waiting on the 10th tee with players just starting AND players coming off 18 to play their 2nd 9. And 10 is a par 3.

We played there last year and this is much improved. The greens are all in pretty good shape. You can tell they’re working on the course because there’s a lot of things in progress. I’m sure when they’re done it will be first rate!

The grounds are beautiful. Restaurant and range are all top notch. The golf course needs to be in better shape to stand out from other courses nearby. Fairways need the most work. I think it was fair enough for the hot deal pricing. Will return.
