The par-5 third has a reachable green, tempting you to attack it in two. A pond lies behind. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Six, again: a view from behind its perched green. It’s one of the hardest to putt on the course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Fourteen: As one of my playing partners (an excellent putter, on left) and I agreed, these greens are challenging. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Mountain Course
Don’t walk !! You’d have to be a billy goat to walk this course. Having said that, the views are awesome. I imagine in the fall it would be spectacular. Definitely a target golf course. Not a lot of room for small mistakes. Greens are good. Wind was horrible the day we played, which made it extremely difficult. All in all though, a good course.
Nice course and challenging…
I would’ve given a perfect 5 star rating but the tee boxes were all in really rough and ugly shape. Some of the fairways and areas surround the green were pretty bad too. Would miss a green and then be on some hard as stone ground not too far off the green where the rough is.
All in all though I recommend still, pace of play could’ve been better but it was just a really busy day and that kind of happens. Proshop staff were great!
Won’t waste my money here
Tee boxes, burnt out, fairways burnt out, rough burnt out
I’ve seen this course in better shape.
Fairways were burned out and sparse on numerous holes and the greens were slow.
I enjoy the challenge that this course offers.
It's one of my top 10 CT courses. Great scenery, challenging tee shots and lots of variation in the hole designs. I played it in very hot and dry conditions and the lack of water showed in the fairways. The greens were perfect.
Never disappoints
As usual and what I've come to expect, this place is and always has been, great. Course is in immaculate shape. Greens pristine and tee boxes are as could as you can ask for. Never waited on any shots. They are clearly not over booking like that money grab in Middlefield. A great layout. One of the best public courses in CT
