Careful not trustworthy
Overall it’s a good course def has it’s toughness in it. However I’ve booked 3 times. First time they told us carts weren’t included in this and that he has been in contact with apps to take it off. Second time they tried telling us they don’t have any carts left to use. Which you can see where the carts are and they had at least 20-30 more carts. Could they have that many broken parked there maybe. But then he wouldn’t give us money back for paying for a cart. 3 and final time I’ll ever book with them again he tried to force me to share a cart with a random. With this pandemic I refuse to share a cart with a random. They wouldn’t give me my own cart. Very disrespectful as a pro there. He continued to blame the app TeeOff for these issues. Says the app states that each group of 4 is only allowed 2 carts I asked for my money back and he told me all sales are final. I will never book here again due to cart issues and the unprofessional pro there. Nice course but very overpriced. Other local golf courses much cheaper and just as nice. Pace of play is slow due to a lot of walkers. They prolly tell them as well no cart.
Happy to return
It was my first time playing Crestbrook and I really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, course was in great shape despite very hot and dry conditions in CT this summer.
Course is somewhat long and narrow so a bit of a challenge.
Nice course
A friendly course to golfer not hard, Enjoyable.
Very friendly Staff nice amenities, with a beautiful pool. Definitely would play it again.
Sunday golf
Course was in decent shape, starter was behind which made it longer than expected
Great course to play
Played this golf course for the first time, I joined a group of regulars and played the blue tees as well. Challenging course, lots of slops ......really need to know the course layout to make right shot selection. Great condition! Shot well for playing first time...... Will play again.!
Not for my game
Slope 132 for women. If they would build th red tee boxes closer on every hole it would be fair for women. I'm thinking they don't because not many women play there because of the length of the holes and the terrain. Getting your bag to where the carts and pro shop are is like walking up Mt, Washington. At 76 yrs old and having a handicap flag, that doesn't work for me. 2 of the par 3's were over 170 yards...for women??? Greens were slow and the maintenance workers did not stop mowing or spreading insecticide while we were hitting. And our tee time was in the middle of a men's league so we had to let 3 groups thru. And boy were they SLOW. I won't go back. My handicap is 18, but you couldn't tell on this course. If they move up the red tees, yes I'd go back, but now I'd only recommend it to men.
Carried on a hot day
Overall the course is a good value. There were a handful of holes on the back nine that were unfair. On these holes if you hit the fairway it was on such a slant you weren't rewarded for hitting a good shot. Most of the bunkers were left unattended seemingly for weeks. We are in a pandemic so I guess the crew deserves a break.
Crestbrook
Crestbrook Golf Course is a great course off the beaten path in Watertown, CT. Course conditions were good. Make sure you show the pro shop a screenshot of the "cart included" amenity for your round. Apparently the Golf Now times are walking rates and the person in the pro shop gave me a hard time about getting a cart. Aside from that I'll definitely go back and play here again. Greens are challenging, but rewarding if read correctly. A lot of interesting hole layouts, too, in a good way.
Greens will improve
Good varieties of holes. Back longer and harder. Look at keeping shots on right side of fairway or will roll into trees often.
Amazing Course!
Played the front 9 alone with my friend, some random old guy pulled up for the back 9 cause his group ditched him but he was really nice. Great course, very creatively put together and kept in good shape. I didn’t lose many balls but there were 2 creeks which were hard to avoid. Be careful with golf carts cause there are a lot of bumps if you’re going full speed, we almost flipped over a few times (It’s mainly my fault for flooring it). There were a decent amount of people at the course, but we didn’t have to wait at all, everyone played at a good pace and I never felt rushed. We played around 10am by the way. Only complaint is the maintenance people... every shot you hit they turn off their lawn mowers and just stare at you with the strongest gaze known to man.... I’ve never played such a bad round, every shot felt like I was in a sand trap. Even on the green when I was putting they’d be in the middle of the fairway and they’d just stop and stare. Super annoying but thankfully it was only for one hole. Other than that, it’s an amazing course, I’d recommend it to anyone, beginner through pro. I’m definitely coming back here in the near future!
Nice Course!
Course was really good condition with a couple 200 yard par 3s. Fun and challenging course with some long par4s. For those without a distance finder, the course provides good markers to estimate distance.
Awesome round
Played 6/17/20 course seemed pretty occupied but never felt it while playing, didn’t have to wait on nearly any shot. Couple, minor, rough patches in a few spots of play however the greens were in the best condition I could ask for. it was my first time on the course and was very happy with the hole layout as well, found it challenging and fun but didn’t have to lose many balls. Was greeted by very friendly staff and was even given a killer deal on a brand new bag in the shop. Topped it off with some high quality hot dogs at the turn and it was a stellar day. Definitely plan on returning.
