Descent value for golf near the beach
Went to this course while on vacation. It was the best value in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with the course. However, the address on golf now was incorrect.
Rough
Rough was high it was hard for the women in our group
First time in 10+ years
I will NOT wait that long again. Played it as Shawnee, as I said before, all I remember is, I didn’t hate it.
Definitely 4+ stars. Almost everything was in great shape! 90% of tees, fairways, greens and bunkers! Greens were quick 5 par 3s, 4 of which average 160 from the whites.
Fairly wide open. My playing partner and I only lost 1 ball each, on the same hole!! We’re both bogey golfers and did spray it around a bit, but found it, had a fair shot back into play, and moved on.
Par 70, just under 6000 yards from whites. Nicely tree lined fairways, and above average landscaping on the course. Water does move thru on a few holes. 17and 18 are long par 5 and 4. TOUGH finishing holes.
Got a great deal but will definitely not mind paying more. Definitely recommend, at any price around $60. My opinion. You will not be disappointed!!!
Friendly Course
Very nice course, especially for this time of year. Greens and fairways were in good shape.
Saturday morning round
I was pleasantly surprised with the pace of play, condition and overall play-ability of the course. Finished in 3 1/2 hours on a Saturday morning that had beautiful 78 degree weather. good value and had a really nice time. Would recommend.
Wonderful Track
Great track! Played here for the 1st time last week on 8/21/19. Played the twilight rate after 2pm, which left MORE than enough time to finish 18. Great older style links layout with several challenging spots. The course was in good condition, even after dealing with months of summer heat. Had a few bad spots on some greens, but overall it was in good shape. Will definitely go back.
Course was in bad condition
Lots of dry bald patches near and on the greens. Three of the fairways were under maintenance but were hardly playable. The other fairways were crabgrass and hard dirt.
The course layout is well above average it’s just a shame that it was in such poor condition especially for the price.
Pricy but a good round
I know Rookery South is a newer course so in my mind i thought this was newer as well. Enjoyable round but i think the price point for this course is way to high. This is a fun but average course.
