Lanygston History
I was highly excited to play this course because of its history and the beauty of the course layout. I have played here before and am really enthralled about the back nine. I had relatives here from Canada who I wanted to see the course. My cousins are avid Black History study student and I wanted them to experience the entire Langston picture. Upon arriving there, they were greeted and the person behind the counter immediately told them of his brother who lived in Toronto. This set the tone for the rest of our time there. Unfortunately as we completed the front nine, it began to rain and we had to stop. However, I asked if we could take a cart and I could show the back nine and its beauty. I was allowed to do so and my cousins were immediately struck by the layout, the scenic conditions and the possibilities if it were refurbished. After we returned to the Club House, we ordered food (excellent) and observed and spoke to the many men there. Needless to say, it was a great time for both my cousins and my wife and I. What a great piece of continuous Black History. My hope and prayer this that the funding to restore the course while maintaining its Black community feel will continue!!!
Not too bad, and great value
I played Langston many years ago and remembered it pretty beat up. Just played and found it much improved from my previous recollection. Piece of play was poor - five hours. Was a very hot day, but only had one water station equipped. Price was very attractive – paid for 18 what I would pay for nine at some other courses.
Challenging but Great Course
This course pushes you to achieve great things. It has done very challenging holes throughout the 18 holes. Definitely keeps you on your toes to climb higher!
great course
Course was in excellent condition. Greens and fairways were very good. Much better than last year. My only complaint relates to the carts. Definitely need new carts. Friendly and cooperative staff.
Awesome Historical Course!
Had a great time with the wonderful staff at Langston! Course layout was challenging, greens are in great shape, food is out of this world and great practice facility. Could easily spend the whole day there enjoying
Needed Course in DC
Not the greatest of courses but it's a valued necessity in the DC. Hope it says open for the sake of being able to play a decent round of golf in the DC area. Enjoyable round.
Visiting
I just love this course. Staff are top notch. Especially the starter...
Playing at historical Langston GC
I enjoyed my round however as a suggestion please put sins with hole numbers on all holes. I got confused and I know other golfers did also.
This course was in good shape
Rain impacting our round and this was the first of the season so tough round. Good course. Poor pace of play.
Good time
The course was in good shape and the pace of play was good, will come back
Great Experience.
The course is recovering from the winter, greens are being aerated and fairway still needs recovery from the winter. For a comprehensive review go to:

Was asked to pay for a cart even though the deal stated cart included.
