Windy conditions and deep ruff were too severe for a couple of seniors who spent too much time in the rough.
Haven't played here in many years and the course was very challenging.
Great course
Course was in great shape. Wasn't busy so pace of play was awesome. Rough was a little long, but hey you're not supposed to playing out if it anyway. Only complaint is still no driving range.

Nice windy holiday afternoon
Unfortunately we had a foursome directly in front of us who took over an hour to play the 1st four holes.....despite having a completely empty course in front of them. A real shame on the Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. We were fortunate the tee sheet was light otherwise we probably would have requested nine hole rain checks and left after the turn. Had to yell them just to play through....and it was the typical we're partying and we'll be out here until it's dark. Several other groups that teed off in the later afternoon hours were not very happy having to play through these guys either. High winds that afternoon kept most golfers away and/or the rather stiff $64 rack rate kept people away. Our hot deal averaged out to about $50 a player....and that's the most I'd pay to play Chalet any day of the week.. It's a fun track if you're a fairly accomplished player with plenty of challenges. High handicappers.....bring a couple dozen balls and keep pace please. Course was in decent shape...some wet areas that never seem to dry out were really shaggy (between #1 and #2 especially). Some other areas in the rough were shaggy as well. Greens rolling smooth.....and cut to a fair speed so you have a chance. Any faster and above the hole putts on several holes would be unfair. Sand traps were mostly miss and several should just be filled in or renovated. Nice bar and grill area....the bathrooms at the turn desperately need renovation..
Was informed there was no beverage cart....but then a was a beverage cart out and visited us 3 times. The Oberon cans bought at the clubhouse....it was skunky and old...might have been from last season...go with a domestic or something else to quaff. GPS has been removed from the carts so bring your own....course distances are very poorly marked to non existent.
I try to play this place at least once a year because of the routing/challenge and shot values offered. $40 value during week/$50 on weekends at most. If crowded prepare to crawl around in well over 430 and many times over 5 hours....highly recommend the course but try to find a light tee sheet or off hours so you can enjoy this picturesque course at decent pace.

Played here pre-covid and the course was in poor condition. It was a totally different this time, the course is in great condition. The bunkers looked good and the greens were fast and in excellent shape. It’s a good test of golf and you’ll need your A game to score well. Teed off at 1:39 and we were done by 5.

Beautiful course, layout terrible
The golf course is beautiful. But the experience is dreadful. The cart paths are in terrible disrepair, run nowhere near the fairways or greens, and have no signage to guide the direction of travel. On several holes you can wind up at the wrong hole tee box. Couple this with a cart paths only rule and you wind up regretting playing this course.
